I have been working for a firm that is working with Publix. So far so good. Great, experienced NP's hired. Most with 20+ years experience. They are in the beginning phases of the venture. Very supportive. Seem legally astute. If done well it is a great concept for experienced NP's

I love being a NP. I am a hospital diploma/university bachelors/masters/post masters Nurse Practitioner. I do not miss the endless documentation,never need to see a bed full of poop,the suction catheter full of pseudomonas snot. I can still smell ETOH on breath,do do rectals for prostate/well women exams. I love being able to think for myself.The "bedside" IS next to the patient. When I check out a breast lump or listen to an irregular heart rythym it does not matter if I am in an office or in a hospital. NO I do not miss being in the hospital and I love being at the PATIENT'S side

Hi there I am new to this site. I am a nurse practitioner ,but in the summer I go to camp with my kids. Actually, only one is still camp age. I am at a camp in Northern Michigan. We have 2000+ campers,from 8 to 18, 24 nurses and 2 doctors who change every 2 weeks (8 docs during the 8 weeks of camp). This is my 6th year here. Lots of fun.
