chancellor study guides
been reading on several other boards conflicting evaluations of chancellors study guides. some folks claim thats all they use. others say you'll bomed the exam if thats all you use. considering the price , $250.00 per course new , you would hope thats all you need. Has anyone used chancellors for A@P and if so, how did you fare. Thanks .

Excelsior going to multiple choice exams?
I contacted both exec. and prometric. they new nothing about exam changes. some one is playing games. bob QUOTE=Law of Fives]Please tell me this is not true. Someone in one of the internet nursing groups I am a member of has heard (source unknown to me) that Excelsior/Prometric will switching the format of their exams to a fill-in-the-blank format. I've had a brief look at Excelsior's website, but didn't see anything mentioned about changing the format. I did hear from another person who was in contact with Prometric. Prometric is apparently stating that Excelsior is 'pulling their old tests and replacing them with new ones', and 'those scheduled after Sept 30 will have to be rescheduled'. Anywho, I'll look more later, but I'm just curious if you guys/gals have heard anything.

state board back ground check.
Am wondering if anyone other students have somthing in their past that might prevent them from acquiring their RN license. I have noticed that others have poised the same question and have been advised to contact their state nursing board. that's exactly what I did. In my case, I have more than one dui conviction and asked if this would affect my eligibility. The california state board representitive repiled " we can't prevent you from going to school ". I asked her a second time explaining my concern of putting in so time and effort and then being told I would not be eligible for licenseing. Again, her reply was we can't prevent you from going to school and added we look at a lot of things. to say the least I was disappointed. Has anyone had a similar experience with their state board or a similar background like mine who have obtain information as to were they stand. I would appreciate any feed back. thanks.
