  1. Hi Folks I've recently started my MSN (Specialty in Nursing Education). I'm supposed to present my Nursing Thesis topic by Jan 31st. I've got a few ideas for topics related to Nursing Education - which I will discuss with my advisor next week - but nothing I am super excited about/interested in. So, my question to you all is... Can my thesis be completely unrelated to my specialty? or does the defeat the whole purpose? The reason I ask, is because I am very interested in researching a certain topic that isn't related to Nursing Education. I know it's a long shot and that it's pretty obvious that I should propose a topic that is related to Nursing Education...but I just can't stop thinking about my other idea. Sigh... I just want to hear your opinions on my situation prior to meeting with my advisor. Have any of you done your thesis on something unrelated to your specialty? Thanks so much for the help, I really appreciate it... Love and Peace
