  1. Thanks for responding. Actually the pediatric vent and GJ tube case I have is home healthcare. The same agency called yesterday and gave me another peds case. It's just 2 days/wk, but I'm thrilled to have it. I want to be in LTC, but hopefully more experience will count for more experience even if it's not geriatric!
  2. JulesA, tks for the reply. Do you think it will be different if I'm an RN? With the online program, I don't have any clinicals to gain experience...
  3. Cincinnati and Dayton areas, Ohio
  4. I am a 2009 LPN, graduated w/good grades, little experience. Because of family issues, I had to limit my work to VERY part-time. Found one job in a juvenile detention center passing meds and another job doing 1 overnight/wk ped work . Now that I can work full-time, any shift - no one will hire me. I don't even get called for interviews. Hospitals here want only RNs. Applied to many LTCs - don't have 1 year LTC experience so no go there. Tried many agencies, same thing - not enough experience. Applied for Aide work - they won't hire me because I'm "overqualified and won't stay". ... I'm not picky, I'll take any work to get into any facilty for experience. I've been studying online for my RN, but am contemplating quitting. Any advise would be appreciated. I worked so hard to get this far, but am so discouraged
