California doesn't accept BSNs from Chamberlain College of Nursing?
princess pickles - Thanks for the info, I appreciate it! :) I called the Director of Licensing and Accredidation at Chamberlain and she stated that their online RN-BSN program is associated with the St Louis campus, which is CCNE, NLNAC, and regionally accredited. Man, some of the advisors at Chamberlain are misinformed.

California doesn't accept BSNs from Chamberlain College of Nursing?
CollenRN2B - I agree with you. I think continuing education in nursing (RN-BSN) is the only one of the various degrees that are "acceptable" to obtain online.

California doesn't accept BSNs from Chamberlain College of Nursing?
The CA BON phone number is ALWAYS busy! I called Chamberlain back and they are going to look into this further. I was just curious if anyone on this board knew anything about it.

California doesn't accept BSNs from Chamberlain College of Nursing?
I am not talking about prelicensure. I am talking about persons who are already RNs and just obtain their BSN through Chamberlain.

California doesn't accept BSNs from Chamberlain College of Nursing?
I just got off of the phone with an academic advisor from Chamberlain College of Nursing, and I had asked about their accreditation for the online RN-BSN program. I recently read that NJ is no longer recognizing them and I had asked him if any other states have the same issues and he said that California currently does not recognize degrees from Chamberlain. Does anyone know anything about this? Is this true? I have searched this forum and found that Chamberlain's program in St. Louis is NLNAC, CCNE, and regionally accreddited, but where exactly does it state this information FOR THE ONLINE RN-BSN PROGRAM? Their accreditation page http://chamberlain.edu/about-nursing/chamberlain/accreditation doesn't mention the online program. If I have a BSN from their online RN-BSN program and I apply for jobs in California, California won't recognize that I have a BSN because it is from Chamberlain?? If anyone can clarify, I would appreciate it!

Why doesn't the military accept online BSNs?
As I was searching this board, I have read that in order to be an army nurse, you have to have a BSN and it cannot be from an online school. Why is this? What if the online school is regionally accredited? For example, Chamberlain College of Nursing RN-BSN online.

Question about BSN tuition reimbursement from employer
Does anyone know if an employer will offer BSN tuition reimbursement AFTER you have completed your BSN? If I had the choice, I would have waited for a job where my employer would pay for some of my BSN courses, but with this economy, who knows how long until I find a job that does that. I started my BSN program right after graduating from an ADN program because I did not want too long for the reason I mentioned above, and I wanted to get it done ASAP. If you save all your receipts, will an employer reimburse you after you have received your BSN? Has anyone heard of this?

Help with Community Nursing Interventions and Evaluation
Hi all, If anyone can give some advice, I would greatly appreciate it. I am looking for experienced nurses in the subject to help me out. For my community nursing class, I am doing a paper on prevention of type II diabetes for an assignment on a impoverished, city neighborhood that consists of mostly African Americans and Hispanics. The focus is on prevention and education (education on a healthy diet & promoting physical activity). For the Interventions, I need to: - Propose 3 community health nursing interventions that would address one or more of the major direct or indirect factors that contribute to the problem. - Justify why the problem and your nursing interventions should be a priority. - Discuss why these interventions are expected to be effective. For the Evaluation: Discuss how you would evaluate each intervention using quantitative and/or qualitative tools. There should be at least one evaluation method for each intervention. Any input would be great, thanks in advance! :)

Can anyone help me narrow down on what about diabetes I should write about for my paper/assignment for the Community Health Nursing Class. I live in NYC and the instructor said the topic should be a priority in my area. If anyone can give me some ideas, I would appreciate it!
