  1. Got my 4MICU offer last night too for RR.
  2. For Ronald Regan MICU?
  3. Has anyone heard back from MICU or received a second MICU interview yet?
  4. This is just my opinion, it’s not based on anything official. I think regardless of whether we are told it will be a hybrid setup or on campus setup for the fall, we will eventually end up zoom / online only. You’re right, cases are rising and there is no end in sight for the time being.
  5. I did initially but something about the lvn to RN program didn’t sit well with me. The bridge program doesn’t do a point system. Quesada told me that you are guaranteed admission as an LVN but it is a first come first serve basis. They don’t have a fixed number of lvn students that they let into the bridge every year. The number of students they let in are based on the number of ADN students that drop. The lvns take those slots at the end of the program. To complicate this further, it’s impossible to predict when you’ll get in because there are people on that list ahead of you that have been waiting for years and maybe they they accept the offer the year you apply, or maybe they’ll defer it. I heard some people wait a year to get in, and some as long as 3 years. With the traditional 2yr ADN and 70 points on application I have a definitive start and graduation date. I went this route instead.
  6. This. Most people sleep on this. This is the easiest way to boost your points. Those 10 points from cna certificate could mean the difference between getting accepted and passed on. The lvn license (15 points) boosted my points to 70 total. Not sure I would have been a competitive application without those 15points.
  7. Just got the acceptance email as well!
  8. I don’t wanna get my hopes up only to be disappointed but I am eager to find out what’s gonna happen. Please let us find out in the next couple of days ??
  9. LOL it was just a joke. Trying to make light of anxiously waiting for some kind of response from the school.
  10. Hey guys. I think I know where our missing acceptance letters are:
  11. WOW!!. Much more competitive than I anticipated. Happy birthday btw.
  12. I am also curious for the person that said they got a rejection letter today, If the letter stated the reason for the rejection. 60 points seems like enough points to get accepted so I wonder if there was a mistake in the application, or perhaps If an incomplete application was submitted, etc.
  13. I thought there was an email from the president of AVC stating staff would not return to campus until June 29th though ?
  14. Thank you for the update. No sleep until we know for me.
  15. Thank you. I tend to overthink things.
  16. Just out of curiosity, when you guys filed out your applications did you put your personal email or school email under your contact information? I am second guessing myself that maybe using my personal email was a bad choice. I noticed some instructors do not respond to personal emails and insist it’s policy communication happen over only school email.
  17. Please let it be today that emails get sent out. ?
  18. Its official. I received the letter from BON today. I am finally, officially, a nurse. All that scare for nothing. So glad its finally over and I can start job hunting
  19. Lucky you Meriwhen. In my application it specifically stated to list all infractions over $300, including misdemeanors. Quick update: I will fill in some missing information to help understand the context of my story better. When I submitted my paper for the boards, I included a copy of my speeding ticket and checked off that I had a previous conviction since the BON defined 'convictions' as any ticket over $300. My speeding ticket was $312.00 . What I failed to include was a copy of a receipt, showing a resolution. I did not know i had to include a copy of a receipt! An instructor later informed me that this looks to the BON as if I had included a copy of a ticket which I had not paid. This morning I called BON, and was directed to the Enforcement department where they handle these matters. An agent informed me that although he could not comment on the specifics of my case, he advised I stop by the court and get an official copy of my proof of payment and mail it back to BON. The Enforcement Agent assigned to my case had taken a leave of absence and was not returning my calls...all calls went straight to voicemail. This afternoon I drove to the courthouse and paid $50 for two official copies of my receipt. As I was getting ready to leave the courthouse It occurred to me that maybe I should try calling the Enforcement Agent assigned to my case. What do you know? Someone answered. It was my agent but the agent on the phone informed me that she was in charge of my case and that she had already made a decision. She informed me that it would not be necessary to submit these documents as she had already made a decision on my case and had in fact, mailed out a 'final letter' to me today indicating the status of my application. She told me she could not comment on what the status was over the phone either (I ve been told that this is normal as they never tell you results over the phone). So here I am. I am spending this evening wondering what is on that letter. Did the agent close my case and decide there was nothing to my record other than 1 speeding ticket? Or did she decide that my application was incomplete because i didn't include a resolution to that ticket? I will keep you guys updated. Thanks for your support
  20. Well if you guys are curious, I came across a thread where someone had a similar problem: https://allnurses.com/lpn-lvn-corner/lvn-license-application-474019.html According to this, it looks like speeding tickets like this (even simple ones) cause an unfortunate delay. The sad part is the members that received this letter all waited 6 months to hear from the boards. Although all the members there say they received the license...6 months is just an awful time to wait in the dark.
  21. now you are really worrying me I was riding my motorycle 92 in a 65 zone (Mojave desert). The CHP gave me a ticket, and on the ticket he only checked off misdemeanor speeding. He told me that if he wanted to he could charge me with reckless driving and have my bike impounded and license revoked but he chose not to. That was probably 4 years ago. I really hope i dont get denied over this. I did delcare it and I did attach a copy of the ticket as well. No more traffic tickets after that...learned my lesson
  22. no. no drunk driving! do you think they would take several weeks to investigate a speeding ticket?
  23. yes. the only incident i had was a speeding ticket and i declared that of course. i dont have any felonies or anything like that
  24. Hello. I am very worried about the letter i received in the mail today. I took my nclex december 30 of 2010 and got the good popup all the way through. Today I received the following letter: "You have passed the examination for licensure as a vocational nurse (NCLEX/PN). However, the processing of your license application will be delayed until the Board has completed an evaluation of your conviction records. Upon completion of this evaluation, you will be notified of the status of your applicaiton for licensure. If you have anu questions, you may contact ****, Enforcement Analyst; at *******" Is a letter that everyone receives after taking the NCLEX or is this something I should be very worried about. I tried calling but its Saturday today. I am so worried right now.
