I'm hoping someone can help point me in the right direction. I will be graduating in May from an accelerated nursing program on the east coast. I would like to start job searching by narrowing down my options, but I am feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the legalities. I am most interested in working a med/surg unit for 1-2 years to build my skill and gain a diverse experience before specializing. I can go ANYWHERE in the US! I have interest in Portland, Oregon or somewhere on the west coast, Alaska, Boston, Austin... I think you get the idea. Where can I go to find out what the requirements are for graduate nurses in each state? For example, I understand that MA does not hire graduate nurses and therefore I would need to wait until I passed the board to be hired. Is there a simple condensed place that houses this information for the nation? I appreciate any advice and guidance! Thanks in advance.
