  1. by the way-my wait list letter stated "Admissions decisions were made based on the information available February 28th, 2011" soooo, can anybody fill me in on what this means? I'm confused-I thought admissions decisions weren't made until after they interviewed us, which was loooooong after Feb. 28th.
  2. wait-listed for the accelerated program. They didn't even tell me when those accepted to the program have to commit by, so there is no time line as to when I would find out. We won't be ranked on the wait list unless somebody turns down their admission. And there is no realistic chance that anybody who got accepted to the accelerated program is going to pass up that opportunity. Good luck to everybody who got in!
  3. still waiting on mine, was not in the mail today--ugh!!!
  4. I'm so frustrated we still haven't heard anything.
  5. Thanks for the info BUHockeyfan! p.s.- are you from boston? I knew a couple kids from the kennesaw area that used to play hockey at BU-they were both really good!
  6. thanks! same to you!
  7. yes sings&shoots, I got into west ga as well but because they start in june and my lease in Athens it through the first week of august, I thought it would be smarter financially for me right now to start at a school in August so as not to overlap leases.
  8. Oh no sings&shoots! I know you and I had talked about this type of predicament earlier. That's terrible! I don't understand how they could possibly wait that long. My issue is that almost all of the scholarships I'm applying to require you to be commited to a nursing school before applying....:-( I forgot that westga started so soon. If I don't get into ksu, I need to start apt/house hunting in savannah for AASU.
  9. I almost don't want to find out until May 15th, I've got finals the first part of May and then I graduate on my 23rd b-day, May 13th, so if its bad news...well I want it after my finals and graduation so I don't have to go through the emotional breakdown at such a stressful time.... Now, if its good news, they can tell me tomorrow! oh, the waiting game.... we'll get through it!
  10. how did the interview go Sings&shoots? I had my fingers crossed for you this morning!!!
  11. It went really well! at least, I hope it really went as well as I think it did! I guess the interviewers could have thought differently... You will do fine! make sure you get there early bc they took me back a half hour before my scheduled time. Just remember to take a few really deep breaths before going back and to stay calm! and just so you know, rm 1003 is the office with the glass windows that doesn't actually have a number on the outside of it, just in case you didn't know. lol, I spent more than a few minutes looking for it, roaming the halls in heels = OUCH! GOOD LUCK!!!!!
  12. Interviews start today!!! AH! good luck to everybody! Mine's at 3:30 today so say a prayer for me!
  13. I'm April 11th at 3:30--p.s. talked to a friend who is a nurse and she said that the application and interview process stressed her out more than actually working as a nurse! thought you all might find that funny! I'm going to have to agree with her that this process has been one of the more stressful things I've had to deal with!
  14. thanks fjrobinson44! congrats on your interview as well! and congrats Peachy! I counted 40 people as well on the accelerated email. ok, so, still really nervous, but at least now we have something different to be nervous about!!! ha ha!
  15. I just got an email from fran! I got an interview for the accelerated program! Yaaaaay!
  16. Yep! do take the 5th version, I'm not sure if they take any other version
  17. Just got accepted for Fall of 2011 and for anybody who is looking to take the TEAS in the future and is nervous about it DEFINITELY get the ATI study guide! the questions in it are very representative of the questions on the actual test. I went through all the sections, did every last question in the book and made a 93, I'm terrible at math and because of the info and tips they gave in the book, that was actually my highest scoring section! If I hadn't gotten the book, I maybe would have been able to correctly answer about 40% of the math questions bc you cant use a calculator-its all fractions, percentages, ratios, word problems, and long division that I just would not have remembered if I hadn't gotten the study guide! I found it on Amazon considerably cheaper than on the ATI website! Has anybody else gotten in for Fall 2011? I'm moving from Athens, Ga, in August, (assuming I don't get into Kennesaw St.'s program) and I have no idea about where I should plan on living! Tips would be greatly appreciated!
  18. Hey guys, Got my acceptance letter in the mail yesterday so check your mailboxes, it came in a normal sized envelope so don't flip out and think you got denied just bc it didn't come in an acceptance packet

  20. ha ha If I was working in the nursing admissions office, I would definately be reading the threads on here! I bet its a huge source of entertainment for them! And they probably need that humor to deal with all of us calling and emailing them asking questions all the time!
  21. In the past I know that people have been able to log on to Owl Express and then go to "program applications" and click on "nursing interview sign up" prior to getting their interview letters in the mail to see if they are able to sign up for an interview time. I know that it has been saying that "you are not preselected for an interview" for the last few weeks just because they had not decided yet. The link to the "nursing interview sign ups" was down today though so I'm not sure if they were working on updating it....? has anybody checked it to see if it allows anybody to sign up? The link has been fixed and mine still says that I haven't been preselected for an interview so I was just wondering.... P.S. nobody panic, I have no idea if they've made any decisions yet and I'm not sure if you can still cheat the system by checking owl express for interview sign ups or if they've fixed that little glitch in their system.
  22. I never thought I would be thankful to my professors for giving me so many tests and projects in one month!!! I'm definitely staying busy too sreed73! I've absolutely convinced myself that I won't hear anything for at least 3 more weeks so there is no point in worrying about it because there isn't anything I can do right now to improve my chances! hope everybody else is doing okay with the stress of waiting!
  23. They're excepting 90?! That's awesome! I thought they were only taking 60 so that's the best news I've gotten in a while! Thanks Sings&shoots! Do you have any idea of how many they're taking for the accelerated? I applied for both but would prefer accelerated....I thought they took about 35 for accelerated but I'm def. not sure on that one!
  24. Sings&shoots, I would be ecstatic to find out that I had miscounted! I hope your #s are right, and I could very easily have miscounted bc I counted on my phone and in the middle of a busy/distracting coffee shop! I've also spent hours and hours pouring over these threads and in every single one they have known by the 1st week on march for interviews... I just want to know bc of scholarship app deadlines....and for my own sanity... that's important too...
  25. Yeah I applied to Armstrong Atlantic in savannah as well as to west ga.... I'm getting a feeling I might be in savannah next fall unless I get a miracle! Gonna start working on building that good karma!!! Ha ha!
