  1. Does any other ADN program out there have problems with their unit exam questions? Like most schools, our exams are 50 questions but when we sit down for the exam review, they tell us they threw out X amount of questions since they felt that we are not expected to know that information...EVERY TEST we have had this semester has been like this were the instructor will throw out 3 or 4 questions or even better we catch them in mistakes. For example, they chose A as the answer and it was actually D, if it weren't for those reviews those questions would go unnoticed and we would not receive credit for it. You try to send the Dean of Nursing an email telling her why doent the faculty review the exams prior to administering them but she doesnt reply. You send the Dean of the College an email and he tells you to talk with the Dean of Nursing. Who do you go to then???
  2. Hi! I am a nursing I student who had failed the course by 1 point. As of Fall 2010 the passing rate is 77% (previously it was 75%). Obviously, I am at a 76%, I would have passed the course if I had gotten 2 more points on my final exam. (Those 2 points would give me a 76.5% which would be rounded up to a 77%) I filed a grade appeal because the nursing program does not allow us to review the final exam after it is graded and I strongly believe I should have gotten a higher grade on my final. After looking through my required text book for the course I noticed that some of the questions on the exam could have multiple answers (I counted at least 5). We are also required to pass the ATI proctored exam with a level 1 and I ended up getting a level 2. What do you think my chances are of being granted this grade appeal and advancing into nursing II? Thanks
