Hi, I am new to this forum. I am looking for some advise. I am a Diploma RN with 14yrs of various experience in an acute care setting. I am currently working in nursing informatics and have been for about 6 months. I am on a team of RN's implementing Meditech, we are going live in a few months. I am extremely interested in this field of nursing, but I am not guaranteed a position after go-live. I am supposed to be able to take my position back in my clinical area when implementation is complete, but that was never put in writing, so I am keeping my options open. With that said, I have an interview this week at another hospital for an Informatics Nurse position. I am interviewing with the director of informatics for 1 hour and another hour with the informatics team. I am not sure what to expect. I do not have any idea of what questions will be asked of me or if I am even qualified for the position. I did see the info on here about what questions to ask them, but I would like to be as prepared as posible. Also, I was looking for information on certification programs in CT for informatics as I currently do not have the time or the money to get my degree, although that is my eventual plan. Thanks,
