How I passed NCLEX 1st time in 75 questions
Hi everyone! I just passed the NCLEX last Wednesday April 4,2012. Did the Pearson Vue trick and got the good pop up. I could not scream because it was already night time and it was so quite in our place. I did not have any formal review but followed the advice of those who passed the NCLEX in this site. Did self review and answered thousands of questions in book and CD. Also, I read somewhere that the bar on the upper right hand corner of the computer screen of the test question is an indicator if you are near passing or not. If it passes the midline they say you are near passing which was what occured in my screen when I took the exam. I believe that my faith in the Lord helped me to pass the exam. I resisted the urge to enroll in a formal review or online and trusted in Him. Also since I am a catholic, I asked my nun friend, two priests, family and friends to pray for me. ALso, pray to St. Joseph of Cupertino, patron saint of examinees and know something about his life. I prayed to him that I pass at 75 questions and it did shut down at 75 questions. But of course you also have to do your part. These were my references: 1. KAPLAN ( focus on the strategies) 2. PRioritization and Delegation by Linda La Charity ( Prioritization is a high level question, I got tons of it during the exam and I believe this made me pass) 3. Lippincot review book 4. Know anything and everything about the exam process by going to NCSBN site and reading blogs (what is Computer Adaptive test and how does it work) 5. Do not memorize but understand how and why things happen 6. Download and print NCLEX review notes which members posted from this site (there are alot of pharm notes you can grab from this site) Good luck to future test takers! God Bless and thank you to all of you who posted your tips in this site, can't remember you all but I want you to know that your suggestions helped me alot. To God be the glory!
