Hey Stephanie, I kept reading reviews on the Hesi guide books and they said the books weren't all that great, so I went to Barnes and Noble and got the Complete Idiot's Guide to Nursing Entrance Exams. It covers several exams including the Hesi and gives a breakdown on the type of questions you can expect to see. It also has some really good practice exams. I studied the book and got a really good Hesi score. I definitely recommend that book to anyone taking the Hesi. Good luck to your husband next semester!

Hi everyone! I have been taking my pre-req courses for a while and only have one left before being able to apply to nursing school for an RN program. However, am applying to the spring 2012 semester, and I am told by many people not to expect to get in my first try. On the other hand, an advisor suggested I apply to LVN school for the fall semester. I took my test and did really well, and was told my chances of getting in are really good. So now the question: if I do get in to the LVN program, so I start that and get started in nursing or do I hold out for the RN program? I just don't want to wait around for another year before I start nursing school! I would definitely do the bridge program and become an RN as soon as possible, but at least then I could work while I'm waiting for school! I keep hearing mixed reviews about starting as an LVN, so I'm really torn! Thank you!
