  1. Hello! Thanks for replying! I found out today that you can attain a maximum of 201. You can earn up to 100 points for the TEAS, 90 maximum for your BIO 201, 202, and 220. And then 3 extra if you are a Calhoun student, and 8 total points for having your basic courses finished before entering the nursing program. Here is a link with the application for ADN program which lists the point system info: http://www.calhoun.edu/Health/GeneralNursingApplicationPacket.pdf I have one more core class for the program and that is Microbiology, BIO 220. I will be taking that in the fall and hopefully be starting the program in the Spring. Fingers crossed anyways! :) Good luck to you! Calhoun is a wonderful school, and the Biology department is amazing!
  2. Hello all. Okay, so I am now starting to psyche myself out. I have taken the TEAS, and am taking my last general ed class next fall. I made a B in BIO 201, and am most likely going to make a B in BIO 202. I am taking BIO 220 in the fall and am pretty confident with my class schedule that I will be able to make an A. I also made a 64 in my TEAS, not good I know, but I am going to retake it because I KNOW I can do better. So, I guess I am trying to say that is there anyone who has had to take the TEAS and gotten into the RN program at Calhoun? How many points are needed? I know that it all depends on who is applying and the points they have, but I am just curious. I am starting to get really nervous about not being able to get into the program. Any thoughts or advice? Anyone in the same boat? Oh, and I also have a 3.45 GPA...is that going to change things for me? Sincerely, A Nervous Wreck
  3. Hello, I am two classes away from applying for the Calhoun Community College ADN program and am needing to apply to take the TEAS test. I was wondering if anyone knows where most of the Calhoun students have taken theirs, because when I go to register for the test most of the locations say that it is for their students only except for two, Shelton State and one other. I was just wondering if anyone had any insight that could help me out. Thanks!
