has anyone applied or attended J. Everett Light IN

Hi, I dont remeber how long it took to get to the interview but I wouldn't worry, I had to take the TEAS twice and still got in, plus they need at least 40 students per class. I'm in second semester and I can tell you it's not an easy program. We started with 32 and we are down to 11 students and still a semester to go. So be prepared to work your but off! And good Luck! I'll be seeing you there!

    Medtech: RN or LPN?

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that I went to one of Med Tech's info sessions and they may make it sound like a good program and all, but non- transferable credits (well maybe only to a few schools), not accredited, and wow, the price! I almost jumped in wanting LPN so bad to later bridge to RN. But I looked some more and I found an LPN program through J. Everett Light Career Center on 86th st. They are accredited, I think the cost is only around 17,000 vs med techs 40,000! It is an accelerated program as well 15 months?? and just as med tech you are going to have clinical spot. They have great passing rates and I think about a 97% placerate during your last semester. Oh and will give you many other options to bridge. The first semester you only go 8am to noon then I think 7am to 3pm the other semesters. There classes start in Jan. and Aug. I am currently waiting to see if I will be accepted for Jan 2011, My Teas score wasn't all that great, but they were passing so I'm keeping my fingers crossed and praying. I think they even take some credits if you have some, but I do know for Jan. 2011 the teas has to be taken before the 30th of Nov. If you don't mind me asking what were you teas scores to be accepted to med tech? I hope this helps a little because I'm really glad I found an alternative to med tech, and the amount of debt I would have.
  10. Hi everyone, I could use some help. I have applied to the J. everett light LPN program in Indiana for Jan.2011. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what kind of teas scores they accept, I have already taken it twice and cannot retake again. I was wondering if I dont get accepted what would be the best thing to do while waiting to apply again. I am worried because of student loans, I withdrew from a program to enter nursing so I have to get back in school before April 2011!! I hope they accept me and I should know soon, but I need a back-up plan to continue school, and I want to stay with LPN because it's what I really want. This school doesn't require any pre-req's either just your teas score, which mine wasn't great but it was passing. Please any help or advice.

Anyone going to J. Everett Light ?

Hi everyone! I am new here but have been reading on this site for a while. I can't really find any info on J. Everett Light Career Center's LPN program. Has anyone attended or applied or graduated from this program? If so what TEAS score did you have when they accepted you? I took the TEAS twice and hope to get accepted for Jan. 2011. I am really worried, my score was passing but not great and I can't retake again. Any advice on what to do if I'm not accepted for the meantime? I withdrew from a previous program to enter nursing so I don't want my loans to lapse. If not accepted for Jan. what can I do in the meantime before trying again. This program doesn't require pre-reqs so please any advice!
