I have a 3.8 as well, there must have been several 3.8s if there is 5 others between us lol. Yea I figured I might as well go to the interview although I would much rather prefer to get in through SPC. It seems like a good alternative though. I'm glad the meeting is soon, hopefully they can answer many of our questions.

Your chances are a lot better than mine, i'm #9. From reading previous posts, I think you have a good chance. What is your GPA if you don't mind me asking? I did go to the interview this morning, I don't think I interviewed to well though.

spcalternate, once I found out I was an alternate I asked what number I was and they told me. That was before the letters accepting or declining were due back though, so it may have changed. I am wondering when the alternate meeting will be as well, it should be soon. I got the letter for the largo medical thing as well. It definitely is all very nerve wrecking!

The average GPA for the fall session was a 3.8, so there had to of been several people with 3.6s accepted.

I got put on the alternate list :/ good luck to everyone else!

haimyem- yes I am waiting on second pool letters. StephDS- You can go to the HEC website and there is a GPA calculator there. As far as retaking classes, am not sure. I have heard a few different things from advisors, but I think you can as long as you got a C or lower. The best thing to do is talk with an advisor.

has anyone received their letters yet? The anticipation is killin me.

I am so nervous for the second pool letters. I cant believe there's only 29 seats left, seems to be impossible to get in unless you have a 3.9 or a 4...ughh If I don't get in, I plan to reapply for spring 2012, but waiting till october to find out if I got in seems torturous.

Oh I will!! HEC advisor said letters go out June 1st, so I have awhile to wait now... :/

My letter did not come today I am expecting it to come tomorrow, however after reading the posts I think I will be rejected this pool.

Mailbox was empty today! I most likely won't get in for fall session either... but there's a little hope there!! Keepin my fingers crossed...

haimyem, how were you able to retake classes? I was thinking of retaking ethics for an A, but I didn't think SPC allowed that. How did you do it?

haimyem- My GPA is not that competitive! good job for you though! I am currently at 3.76, however I am still in Micro. If I get an A in lecture and lab I will only be at a 3.8. I have also heard this upcoming session was going to be a lot more competitive as well. I spoke with someone from the health center and was told I would hear something back around April 1st. I am so nervous! Will I be pushed automatically to the side for the first pool because I don't have micro completed? How does that work?

Im soo soo soo nervous I will not get in. I think my GPA is competitive, but after reading other posts I am not sure anymore. I don't have a backup plan if I don't get accepted either. Maybe go to ptec for the LPN program but I am not sure..

Hello! I am finishing up my pre-reqs and will be submitting an application for the fall 2011 start of the nursing program at SPC. I am already super nervous and it seems like the horror stories of rejection due to GPA are getting worse! Is anyone else as nervous as I am?
