ATT from NY BON
I am really confused now. I just got an e-mail from NYS Education Department, which is replied a question I asked via e-mail yesterday. They said, " You should not apply until you receive the eligibillity letter. The letter was mailed 10/29/04. You should have received it. You can apply for the exam. Your education has been approved. " Now they are telling that I shouldn't apply until I get the ATT. It's been two weeks since they sent out the letter. My address is in NY. That's why I feel unusual not to receive a letter over two weeks. I was hoping that they could send another one to me, but it seems that they want me to wait for more time. Sould I just call them? or I just need to wait as they said? Does anybody have any idea? Thank you.

ATT from NY BON
Thank you so much! Suzanne. I have read the selection over and over again, I still got confused about the selection. Thanks for explaining to me. Since I've never seen what an ATT looks like, I thought that I need to have an ATT in hands before register for the exam, because I have to bring the ATT with me as an identification on the test day. :imbar So I don't actually need the ATT in hands, but I need to know if they have approved my application to take the exam, and the ATT means " authorization to test " . Am I right? Again, thank you for your help.

ATT from NY BON
Dear suzanne, CGFNS told me that they have already forwarded all of my document to NYS Education Department on 9/9. I have written an e-mail to NYS Education Department to ask them if they have my document. They said that they have already sent a nclex letter ( Is this so called "ATT"? )to me on 10/29, but I still haven't received it so far. So I wrote an e-mail to them to ask if they can send me another one. They didn't answer my question directly, and just told me that " You may apply for the nclex exam at www.vue.com/nclex ". What does that mean? I am really confused. Does that mean that I can apply for the nclex exam at www.vue.com/nclex without the ATT in hands? Please help me out here. Thank you. In addition, I have just try to creat a web account at www.vue.com/nclex. One thing that I don't know how to select, there is the selection as following: Please read the following information to choose the correct jurisdiction: 1) If you are taking the NCLEX examination for the purpose of licensure, Or; 2) If you are taking the NCLEX examination with a board of nursing for the purpose of the VisaScreen Please select the board of nursing from whom you are seeking licensure or an examination for VisaScreen purposes by scrolling down and choosing the appropriate board of nursing from the list. The only Boards who are offering NCLEX for VisaScreen currently include: Arkansas, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, North Carolina, New Hampshire, and the Virgin Islands. 3) If you are taking the NCLEX examination with NCSBN for the purpose of the VisaScreen with NCSBN, please only select the first entry - '11, NCSBN-NCLEX for VisaScreen'. Which one should I choose on this? I am taking the exam for the purpose of the licensure and the visa screen. Should I choose " 3 " or others? Does anyone know about this? Please help me!! I really appreciate your help.

You "must"pass CGFNS before the immigration??
Thanks for the information. I really appreciate it. I am relieved to hear the words you said. :) The reason I got confused is because of my friend who is working in CA right now and currently applying for green card. Since I've heard the shocking news from her, I started to doubt the things that I thought. I will tell her the correct information you provided. Thanks for you all.

You "must"pass CGFNS before the immigration??
So you were saying is that I will need the CGFNS certificate eventually if I want to immigrate to US even though I would work in the state which doesn't require the cretificate of CGFNS? I really appreciate it for your help.

You "must"pass CGFNS before the immigration??
There is a rumor going around here lately. Somebody just told me that whether you plan to work in NY or some states don't need CGFNS certificate ,you still "must" have the CGFNS certificate when you applying for green card. The people who told me about this had called CGFNS two months ago. She said that this is a new rule for applying for green card. I wonder if everyone have further information about this. Ps. I don't know if applying for visa screen certificate and green card are the same thing, but I looked into the instruction of visa screen which didn't see any information about this. So I'm confused right now.
