I just accepted as well for Pre-Specialty FNP! Im REALLY torn now because I already said yes and paid 350 deposit at Samuel Merritt so I dont know what to do!! Anyone know which is more reputable? More expensive in the long run? This is SO stressful! But in a good way :) Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi! I was in the 9 am. I really think I did horribly too. I felt like I didnt get to say about 90% of the things I wanted to say and talk about. Has anyone heard any news good or bad from them? I'm dying to know if anyone was called and accepted on saturday!! I wouldnt let my phone out of my sight all weekend hahaha

I submitted my app on January 14th and shows completed on NursingCAS on Jan 25th. I hadnt received any contact until yesterday...

I just got a call for this saturday! Im SO SO excited but kind of freaking out because its such short notice and i am NOT good with interviews. She said I could have either slot so think i will go with the 11 am. Anyone have any info about what types of questions they ask? Attire?? thanks so much!!

thanks so much for that info Tiffany! I didnt realize those two have quarter systems so that definitely helps. Hopefully I will know if I get in or not before the spring quarter starts and it will help me plan out the remaining courses a little better just to be safe. I am still working full time or I would definitely try to add this semester but Im already taking one and I dont think I can handle another one right now! You really helped so thanks very much for that and it makes me feel better than others havent heard about an interview yet either. I guess we keep on waiting! Good luck to you and everyone else!! Tiffany- I need to take microbiology over the summer if I end up getting accepted (fingers crossed!) and Ive heard its really hard to get into that class for some reason. Are you an SF area local and taking it somewhere nearby? Im getting really nervous and havent heard about an interview yet I turned in everything the day before it was due so im hoping its just NursingCAS thats holding things up but who knows!

thanks oaktown2! I called today and ****** said that you just have to have the classes complete by the start of the program for the ELMSN program...phew! Quick question for everyone about the essay - it says the limit it 2970 but it seems like you can go over that? Did everyone stick to the stated character limit? Seems like not much space to try to include everything you want them to know but oh well. Thanks and best of luck to everyone!!

Hi everyone! I am just joining now because I plan to submit my application today or tomorrow. Im not a huge fan of the NursingCAS deal so I had a couple questions. For the essay, did you all make it generic to nursing or specify a desire to be an advanced nursing practitioner/FNP? Also, has everyone completed their pre-reqs? I have 3 more but im still working so I was planning to take one this semester and finish up the other two over the summer. Im a bit worried that this will hinder my acceptance. Anyone else in my position?

Ok I think 1-2 paragraphs is plenty then. An admissions person told me goal stmts range from a Paragraph to 1 page. Evaamber-I'm from California too and have never been to TN! I want to try and squeeze in a visit but hard with work right now. I live and work in SF so I'm excited to check it out at some point and hopefully end up there for school! I have a 3.15 and a 1070 gre and the same person said that's below average but above the min so not to worry because they obviously take ppl below the avg. Good luck!
