  1. Thanks for the info T-Dasha! Very helpful!
  2. I'm waitlisted for ACNP. Called today 'cause I just couldn't stand it anymore! =) The admissions person I spoke to said that waitlist letters were just getting ready to roll out for this specialty. Since I will be moving with three little bodies, we are still making plans to move to Nashville. Worst case scenario, we spend the next year getting to know Nashville and re-apply next year!
  3. scnurse77, I know it doesn't make you feel any better, but it does comfort me to have someone else waiting too! :redbeathe
  4. Congrats NashTNGuy!!!!! At least we now know that they are / have mailed letters!!!!!
  5. 5ofpeep, I applied for ACNP prespecialty... w/out intensivist. I have been tempted to call and just see if letters were mailed yet, but hate to test my luck! =) rtaylr5
  6. Congrats SydneyJo!!!!! =) Still waiting here for ACNP....
  7. Nothing here yet either... applied to ACNP... in Knoxville, TN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anybody yet from ACNP????
  8. I haven't seen any postings from anyone for the ACNP program... guess we are still all waiting it out!!! EEEEEKKKKKK
  9. Totally loooovvveee the "acceptance letter" mentality!!!!
  10. I will say that I was scanning the website recently... ok STALKING... and the information posted about the MSN / DNP open house for March states something along the lines of pre-specialty programs were expected to be full by March 5th. So.... WON'T BE LONG NOW!!!!!!
  11. Got the email too... And DYING to know! It's soooo hard to be patient and not be filled with anxiety about this whole process. Spending time finishing up my Nutrition class, trying to prepare financially, and doing LOTS of praying! =) Hopefully letters will begin coming soon~ can't wait to hear the news from everyone!!!!
  12. Meredith, Thanks again for all the information! I was actually referred to the Bellevue area, but was told it was closer to 25/30 minutes away (i.e. "outskirts"). Super excited~ now just have to continue to play the waiting game!!! Becca
  13. Mamalex, Rest assured, you are not alone! I also am a single mother of three children, ages 11, 10, and 5. From my understanding, the best schools are in Williams County. I have looked into the Bellevue area myself. I was reccommended this direction because not only are the schools better but as far as a commute it is a little less stressful in this direction. I have also explored living closer to campus and trying to find the best Davidson County schools. There are quite a few magnet schools, but Nashville already had the annual lottery, so admission would be based upon whether or not accepted or if there is room available. Unfortunately, until we have confirmation of attendance and can show residency in Nashville, we can't apply to the magnet schools for the kids. Best of luck for us both! If we both get it, we can possibly meet! =)
  14. Meredith~ Thank you for all the helpful info! I do have a couple of questions as well... 1. What would you suggest doing to prepare for the pre-specialty program? Certain courses to review? 2. You mentioned that most people live near campus, but do you know anyone that does commute from the outskirts of Nashville? If so, do you know what their experience may be? Thanks again! Becca And yes.... dying here for an answer!!!!!! Thank goodness February is a short-ish month!
