Going to get written up for a mistake I made. I got turned in to my DON by a respiratory therapist for leaving two capped needles on a patients tray. I went to apologize to the patient and she knew nothing about it. I had a confrontation with this respiratory therapist earlier and I guess she is getting me back even though I don't remember the mistake it could of happened. I don't think I will sign the write up because of what the patient said. Been upset for 2 dAys.

I am a new nurse and have had a doctor complain about me being rude to management. In the first situation I made a mistake and was uninformed about some protocal and this doctor turned me in and said I hung up on her, which I had no idea that I did. I understand her being upset because of my mistake but now it seems like she has it out for me. She turned me in again for being rude on the phone and I have no idea what I did. I have pretty much decided to apologize to her if I see her but don't want to make matters worse or accentuate it. I don't even know what I did the last time. Help I am in a quandry !

I am going to try to put all your advice to practice. I have found that I tend to replay each thing so much in my mind I can't sleep. That's made things harder. I am a new over 50 year old nurse that just finished school and got my first nursing job in labor and delivery. I feel like I am sinking. My precepter is as fast as lightening and she makes me very nervous. She corrects my every move and I don't have time to figure it out. Being a new nurse is hard enough but then learning Labor is an added stress. Any advice out there. I have been having some panic today and not sure what to do.

I'm working on nursing dx for dec. cardiac output. Are decreased HBG and HCT evidence of ded. cardiac output?

Any one know if using test bank questions with rationales to study for exams is cheating? Someone in my class bought the test bank questions for our book and some are studying them and doing better than before. I haven't done it because I don't know if it's legit.

I'm in my 2nd semester of nursing school. If someone could tell me their thinking process as they answer these n-clex style questions. I did well last semester but not this one. I know it's partly because of my teacher but I have to find a way around that and get it myself. What should I be thinking??

I desparately need help with answering nursing questions. I am in my 2nd semester of nursing school and my instructor isn't giving us the info we need to take tests. How do you answer these N-clex style questions? I need someone to tell me their thinking process as they approach these questions. I'm in Med-Surg 2 and don't know what to focus on in the book. Basically we are told to learn the whole chapter and there are 6-9 chapters. I know some of you can help me. Thanks!!
