  1. Oh okay. I am a healthcare provider currently, on medical leave from my job. But not a nurse. I think the closest certification I have to LPN is the PCT cert- but I'm sure there is a lot more schooling required for the LPN. Thanks again for all your help. :)
  2. Thanks so much for all the replies- No I do not have a Bachelor's already. Just the trade certifications I mentioned. She didn't remember the name of the school, that's why I was wondering if anyone else had heard of it. And what is excelsior college? Is that like an online RN program? It seems like it would be difficult to learn the necessary RN skills with an online school, not having the hands on training and all... But if it is a program lots of people have good things to say about, I would consider it. It has just been a dream and passion of mine to be a nurse and have a career that allows me to help other people, but I don't see it happening the traditional way. Too busy, too poor. :)
  3. Hello there, I'm new to this site so I apologize if I'm not posting in the right spot or something. I am at the moment a certified ekg technician, phlebotomy technician, home health aide, and patient care tech. I really want to get into nursing school but just haven't been sure if I can take that much time to go back to school, or if I can afford it. But a friend of mine was telling me about a nursing program she heard about that was an accelerated course- 1 year of school for an RN degree. I live in Michigan, metro detroit area. Does anybody know of a school like this? Thank you so much.
