Have you tried staffing agencies or temp agencies. They may not have an assignment that you like right away, but by working temp at different places, you get a feel for things and hopefully you'll eventually land a job you love. Good Luck
  2. Sometimes you will feel like certain teachers are out to get you but you learn to forget and hopefully forgive
  3. From what I know, the airforce pays for your education thru nsg school when you serve them for a set number of years. If you want to enter the air force as a civilian nurse you have to already possess a BSN. But in both cases, if you continue to serve them, they pay for you to advance your ed beyond a BSN
  4. I would advise you to relax. Your instructor will not send you to do anything that she isn't confident about your performance since you are practicing under her supervision. Don't be afraid to jump in and if you are going to make mistakes, its best to make them now since someone will watch out for you and correct you. Better now than when you're alone with a med cart and 12 patients waiting for meds right
  5. It really depends on what you want to commit to. Most nursing schools have either a 2 or 4 year curriculum and nursing courses are kinda unique that most do not transfer to other majors. If you are determined to be a nurse go to nursing school. If you are undecided, you may try for the LPN version first. It is like nursing school diluted and typically lasts 9-15 months. Bear in mind that the pay is considerably less though
  6. I get that feeling too sometimes and I noticed that at the beginning of the semester I push myself too hard to be a perfectionist and eventually lose the will to study because I'm overwhelmed. Tip: PAY ATTENTION in class. professors whether they want to tip you or not, would subconscious hint information. If there are points that they speak of that you don't understand, make sure you read up on it rather than risk having that topic show up in class. Reading your textbook page to page would only succeed in tiring ou out faster as 70% of the info is extraneous. Your teachers would know what's important, and since they cannot afford the time to teach everything in your trextbook, they would review topics that they deem most important and would most likely show up on exams
