  1. No they only offer day courses.
  2. You should be receiving it by August/October 2011. You get it through your atlas account. I got my letter in February 2011 and my orientation was April 1, 2011. You'll probably get it the beginning of the fall semester.
  3. After you receive your letter of confirmation you just wait for an email that will tell you to get your CPR, fingerprint, background check, your immunizations, fit mask, and then in orientation you purchase your uniform, polo shirts, and VNSA membership (optional). But you do need to purchase a stethoscope and sphygmometer (manual BP), but I suggest you purchase them at a local scrub shop, it's cheaper. I hope this helps. When are you starting?
  4. I also went to Herzing to see about their nursing program and was really iffy about it. I just started at Valencia, I'm in Nursing I :w00t: I also have a co-worker that she got all her pre-reqs done at Valencia and she doesn't start till Jan of 2013. But, before going to Valencia I was going to SCC and they denied me twice because "they were full". I love the program at Valencia they are more student oriented and offer more resources for student. I think the wait is like that no matter where you go. Just do your pre-reqs for nursing and while you wait to get into the program do your Bachelor pre-reqs, because everything with nursing now, you have to have your BSN. Good luck with what you pick
  5. Just wondering if anybody got the email with the orientation packet. I got it and it's a little confusing. Has anybody uploaded to Magnus?
  6. I don't know. I saw that too, but then I read a prior message that said that you had to wait till after the orientation to select a class. I'm not too sure about that. Did you get the email to let us know that the orientation is on April 1 in the AM at West Campus.
  7. I'm so happy for you....Good Luck! Let us know how it goes?
  8. That is the exact same reason why I decided not to do it. We've been in school this long, what's one more semester. When do you start?
  9. I know how you feel. I can't understand that either, but a lot of the classes are pre-req's to the pre-req's that don't actually count towards a degree. I think in the end it's a money thing.
  10. Actually, I read that letter about the concurrent program and when I re-read it I noticed that it said if you are accepted into the Nursing program for Summer 2011 that you have to defer your entry and start in the Fall 2011. Now, I've heard and been to seminars from SCC about the concurrent and how it works is: you take your nursing classes from Valencia and in additional you have to take an extra maybe 2 classes for UCF. From what I've seen from fellow colleageas that have taken the nursing program it is very detailed and requires a lot of attention. I was thinking about doing the concurrent, but decided not to because I think it would be too stressful. Are any of you trying it out?
  11. Great...I hope to see you there also! The fact of starting the program hasn't hit me yet, but I'm excited right now.
  12. I haven't...I've got some C's in the mix of all my grades. You just have to keep trying but you. I didn't get accepted right away but my persistent paid off. I start the program in May of 2011. Just keep your head up girl.
  13. I did notice that you really can't find any information what-so-ever. Thank you for all the information and really let me know how everything goes for you. I'm planning on posting everything because there are tons of people like me out there that would like to see or know an overview of how things really are. Good Luck on your orientation and let me know how it goes...I'm curious. Maritza
  14. I'm starting in the summer of 2011, but would love to hear the process of how everything goes for you being that you are starting a semester earlier than me. There is not a lot of information about the process for other's that are not in the program to read up upon. I intend to write every detail down to help others. Good Luck.
