It's ok, let the quest results stay as is. Just fill in the hepatitis B dates on the page that asks, if u have taken the vaccine, fill in the dates there. U have only 2 days left, yikes! I would ride their butts like coattails. This is very important for both u and ur husband.

My Hepatitis B came back as if I had never had taken it before too. I received the series in the year 2000. I just filled in the dates when I received them. The clerk @ the nursing office said that if anything is wrong, the administrative person that goes over a final check off, will send an email. If u do not get an email, then everything is fine. Also, I am little bit dumbfounded about the dotctor mailing ur physical forms instead of giving them to u. Sometimes, I believe, they just do what they want to do. U need the ORIGINALS to give to the school, all the other documents will be copies (this is the folder they will keep). But u however, need to make a copy of the physical to keep with all the other original documents (this will be ur folder to keep in case they lose anything). But still bring both to the campus when u go so they will see that u have both folders, even though they will give u the one back for u to keep. Also, just fill in the dates for the titers, mine were not filled out by the doctor, the medical assistant filled it out. The doctor just did the physical and signed off on it.

attention!!! regarding students that used ceufast. we must complete hepatitis c course to complete the requirements for hepatitis ceu. the course is 2 hrs.

I am finished with almost everything. I have to retake the Hepatitis series again. I did not show any titers for the vaccine. I first took this back in March 2000. My doctor and the ARNP(@ my job) told me that sometimes there is a small percentage of people that get the vaccine, may not show up as a titer that has been given already. The only thing I can do is retake the series again, which I will do tomorrow @ my job. Then on Wed, I am planning to turn everything in. I am soooo glad that everthing is just about done.

i guess i missed u @ the drug testing site. i believe i signed in around 10:45, somewhere around that time. the fingerprinting was very simple, easy, fast, and did not wait a long time. i signed in, they gave me back the 2 forms to fill out (the forms we had to print off line for fingerprinting), and they asked for my id and payment. once they processed the payment, they gave back the receipts. i waited about 10 min and they called my name to head to the back. i waited there for about 7 min, and the techs called for me. there was a man and a woman that were doing the fingerprints. they woman did my fingerprints. the machine was small. she wipe my hands with papertowels and placed my fingers on the glass of the machine. then she took each one of my fingers and rolled them side to side. you will see your fingerprints on a computer screen while your fingers are being scanned. after that, i was done and headed to the drug testing site. i am so glad i got that done and over with. also they didn't give anything back but the receipts for the fingerprinting. the results are sent to broward. make sure u go early to get everything done on the 30th, so u won't miss the deadline. get going early. thatz what i did. oh, and by the way, my name is pronouced just like the mexican drink. i might be a black mexican because i so luv mexican food and speak only a little spanish (very little). lol...lmao. however, my pronouciation is very good for speaking very little spanish. i took spanish 1 & 2 but lost it due to not speaking the language daily or often. i guess that's enough chit-chatting, don't want to bore u.

LOL...U are really cutting it close, but we all have to do what we have to do. I, myself, am thinking about the books that I have to purchase and the holidays for the kids.

Yes the thread has died down. probably everyone scrambling to get everything done and turned in. About the drug test, u probably can email or talk to someone in the health science dept and make them aware that you are taking prescription medication and may show in your tox screen (drug tox screen). We have until Dec. 1 to turn everything in right?

I went to do the fingerprinting today and it only took about 30 min. Atferwards, I went to the drug testing center and that only took 10 mins, more or less. The travel time between the fingerprinting place and the drug testing site (the address on the lab form they gave us) is only about 10 mins, more or less, apart from each other. Everything was done within one hour once I got to broward @ the fingerprinting place. Not bad . I am glad I have gotten that part over with. The only thing I have to do now, is turn in my folder and binder next week. Oh, some students were saying that they did not get the white lab form back when they did the drug test, however, I did get my white copy back. Maybe it depended on were they went.

Question? Which blog is the the Professor referring too? If it is her website, I did not see anything regarding homework to read. But I guess we can go based upon the central campus posts and follow them as well. I am going to do the fingerprinting and drug test today! I will be on a mission. Not only that, I have to withdraw my 11 yr old out of her cuurent school and put her to a school closer to home.

I saw the posts as well.....I have not received any info or email regarding what to read in advance. Also, I don't know about the pharm books. On different posts it says, not but it, then another one says to buy it.... I really dont know. I am going tomorrow for the fingerprinting. I need to get it over with already.

The Nursing Dept knows that the Hepatitis shots are a series of shots. As long as u have the first one done and go back when u need to get the remaining 2, u should not have a problem. Make sure once u get the second one give them a copy ( do the same with 3rd shot) so u won't have any hassels with them. Also the infection control and barrier precautions is the same as the OSHA/Hepatitis.

Are u in u doing face-to-face or the online program?

Yeah, me too. I read on one the previous posts that the school will notarize the form for free. I am ready to start already, just anxious.

I did my ceus on ceufast. Everything adds up accordingly. I think...lol....n e ways, if it's over the amount that is required, its ok. I took the infection control & barriers precautions to meet the requirement for OSHA. The TB has 2 hrs and OSHA/Hepatitis are 4 hrs, making it 6 hrs total. This is the number for the TB/OSHA/Hepatitis (6 hrs) requirement. I think everything will be fine, better to have more than less. Also the TB test is the tuberculosis test (checking to see if u have TB or have been exposed to TB). After it is given, u have to return 48 hrs to the doctor to get the results read. And that will take no more than 1 min to read. Actually they can read it at the window/front desk, u don't need the doctor to read it. But may end up seeing the doctor to complete the physical.

U get the CPR card the same day. On the first day for financial aid, is the line long as well?

Yes, from 9-3pm. Have u been able to study anything? I have not been able to purchase any nursing books on the list except for test success and a math book for calculations. I am waiting for extra $$$ to buy the books. Things are a little tight for me right now. But I should be able to purchase them within a few weeks.

I agree. Just stick to what is safe. Most of the time the college prefers all white shoes, fully covering your feet, with no back out. If u by all leather shoes, it is very easy to maintain. Nurse Mates have verrry good shoes. U cannot go wrong there. They may have a blue heart on the shoe (nurse mates logo/symbol) but that's ok because they are nursing shoes.

The Professor emailed me back and said to turn everything in at central campus as according to the email we all received. And to attend the orientation that was listed for central campus as well. Please disregard the the Professor's web page, Ooops! my bad. However it is clarified now. I won't be able to go this Friday with u because I still need to wait for all of my titers to come back. They did not do all of them in the summer, so I had to give more bloodwork so they can run everything this time. i might do the fingerprinting tomorrow though, just to get done and over with. Maybe.
