  1. Has anybody worked for Harris County Jail? If so, what are working conditions like? Carole Young Facility for UTMB? And wondering who has contract for Galveston County Jail now? Conmed did have it but no longer does. Looking for correctional LVN jobs around the Houston area. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
  2. Was wondering if anyone has worked at any of Armor's sites in Florida? What were working conditions like? Pay for LPNs? Overtime?
  3. rnpic, Mercy in Janesville, does have a Labor and Delivery job posted right now, cross training in Post Partum. It is nights though, 36 hrs/wk, so guessing it would be 12 hour shifts.
  4. How are the Rockford hospitals for RN jobs. I have worked as a CNA and Phlebotomist in two of them, several years back, for a total of about 10 years. Have been working in a different field for about 8 years. I am waiting for nursing clinicals and have applied again for CNA and Phlebotomy jobs at all 3 Rockford hospitals and have not even gotten an interview. So hoping the prospects are better once finishing school. Wondering if anybody knows if they are hiring RN's in any of the 3 hospitals?
  5. Not limiting hours, I have applied for 2nd an 1st shift and I believe, even one 3rd shift job. I just keep applying and even sent an e-mail to a couple of the human resource people asking what I should be doing, or if I should be doing more. I was trying to take the clinicals for the phlebotomy certification and there is a 2 year wait for those, I am hoping to be into nursing clinicals by fall of 2011. Otherwise, I guess I just keep applying...
  6. I worked as a CNA/PCT in a large hospital, worked in the Emergency Room, ICU, CCU and all medical floors. I was also trained as a phlebotomist, worked in two large hospitals and several clinics as one for about 8 years. I now have been working in a different field for about 8 years and am on a list waiting for nursing clinicals. I want to get a job in a hospital again and have a lot of experience, but have applied for about 20+ positions, but have yet to get one interview. Any advice on what to do?
