  1. I just met somebody who claims to be from Queens. However, that's not to say they did not do the above hijacking of mailing address trick.
  2. Ouch. Sorry but I really don't know. I haven't met anyone from out of county but I haven't exactly been asking "Hey where do you live?" lol. Best of luck to you though -- but if you have A's in everything what about the Nassau program? Or is there a Brooklyn community college for you? I'm rather ignorant on *all* things outside of suffolk (and *most* things *in* suffolk :))
  3. 9:59 am Received phonecall from Admissions letting me know my # in waitlist came up. Was told my official letter would be coming soon in the mail, and about orientation in December with other stuff to follow that. BTW anybody that transferred in an A- in anything -- it gets rounded to an A. She was telling me that nobody could figure out why I was retaking Psychology (Where I had an A-) So we had a good laugh about that And now I get to drop my retaking of Psychology *AND* A&P1! Literally: Happiest day of my life so far. I hope many other people 'round here got or will be getting a phonecall some time soon
  4. i know it isn't an option for many people but a friend of mine recommended applying to other schools. stories like ll1208's scare the bejesus out of me -- unless you are lying but you have a 4.0 and was waitlisted. i'm retaking my prereqs now so i can get an a in everything. so then i'll have a 4.0 so i can get waitlisted to? i mean that really sucks, ll1208. you've done *everything* you can, apparently, to get the highest possible grades and pft -- waitlisted. seriously? very disheartening. i really wish they were a tad faster about this, though i will say, of course, the speed of any 'waitlist' is based on how quickly accepted people drop out. so maybe those people need to hurry on up so we can find out what's going on :) other schools i'm applying to: stony brook molloy johns hopkins university of miami (and all this could probably just be circumvented if they just had more seats!)
  5. Thanks for the simple breakdown of your grades and congrats :) And needless to say I'm pleased that your grades are *similar* to mine :) lol
  6. Hello everyone. I just got my 'waitlisted' letter from SCCC today regarding the Grant campus' 2011 Spring Evening Classes for the Nursing Program. I figured we could do with a new thread for this class start date since there wasn't one and people were posting in the old ones... Grades were: A&P1 B+ (Retaking it now) A&P2 A PSY A- (Retaking it now) ENG A GPA ~3.76 Micro: Taking it now Petrified I won't get in, the rest of the 23 year old life hinges on my getting in. Or applying to other schools.... but still, would rather go here. Anyone have *ANY* info? Share GPA, application status, etc? Having scoured these forums before I noticed that a fair hunk of people that get waitlisted (with decent grades) later get in, but because the low class size of Grant Evenings I don't think it'll be the case, plus, I could be 500 on the list...
