  1. It was in a document about antiemetics, and in the nursing implications it had an up arrow and S.R. next to it. MendedHeart, I bet you are right, it is sleep and rest. Thank you so much you guys!
  2. Hey guys, I am writing up some drug cards and was wondering what "Increase S.R." means. It's a nursing intervention when administering antiemetics. Thank you in advance!
  3. Jenny, I changed my privacy settings, could you try to invite me again? If not, then we'll figure out something on Thursday, for sure. I tried searching for the group, and it's not coming up either. See you Thursday :) Elya
  4. Hey Jenny, What a great idea for our group to connect! I had my FB disabled since January, but I got it reactivated and now trying to find a way to join the goup. I am trying to find you on FB and having trouble... Shouldn't I just be able to type in your address in the search bar? I tried that and it's just giving me web search results. Could you add me, my address is elfimka at gmail dot com, or tell me how to add you? Thank you so much! Elya
  5. Congrats, superfuzz! Both of the campuses are good. Some of my friends are a semester ahead of me at CEC and they really love it, I hear no bad things about it at all. But I also haven't heard anything bad about Eastview.
  6. Sungal, I did the CPR training at Life Sustaining Training (north Austin), and REALLY enjoyed it. Check them out on Yelp, great reviews. Who else is in CEC? :)
  7. hyunjung001, I took HESI last summer right after I finished the pharmacology class, and was able to apply for the spring in time. The last day of class was around August 13th and the last HESI offered that summer was August 21st. You will not need more than a week to study for HESI, if that. Good luck!
  8. Thank you, guys! One girl who took the class last semester said they barely touched the book.. I've been looking through it, just out of curiosity. I was hoping to do a few things ahead, being a mom of three little kids and having an over-achiever personality, anything I can do in advance would be super helpful. I am looking at the books you recommended, x_factor, they have really good reviews! Rationale meaning it explains why certain things have to be done a certain way? It's about $60 for both books... would it be a good addition to the Art and Science of Nursing? (Taylor)
  9. I really like Rescue Remedy, it has bach flowers, and it really works.
  10. Hey guys, I am starting nursing skills this January! So excited! Is there something I can do in advance to get ready for the class? Thank you, Elya
  11. Michellemc, that's great! What is a petition? Permission to take nursing skills?
  12. kdell23, that's exactly right. My friend who took hesi and applied in July, received her rank back then too. I took hesi and applied in August and got my rank now.
  13. I got mine today too. 54. Not in either. I didn't know they would include the grades from the co-reqs. But it makes sense that they do. I am debating if I should retake the two co-reqs that I got B's in, or just work on other stuff and reapply each semester.
  14. I just took HESI this August and applied for Spring. With the current wait list, I will probably not get in till Fall 2013. When do you get our rank number, do you guys know?
  15. Thank you so much, Tangerine! How many questions were there, do you remember? I really want to do well in this test. I feel like I have to get a good grade, if I am even considering nursing school. If I can't pass this test, I shouldn't even bother with the rest.. Does it make sense? Wow, RR is quite a bit away from me, yikes... When you say much longer for other campuses, do you mean days? A week? I am hoping to do it this Tuesday and hopefully pass and be able to register for Anatomy on Nov. 8... Do you think it's enough time? Thank you again for your help!
