Well, since this is my first post on the forum, I'd like to say hi to everybody. I'm currently a licensed LPN and I'm looking to advance to an RN school. However, my vocational school credits for my G.E. courses do not seem to transfer out to Mount Saint Marry's College or Community Colleges. Question #1 - Besides Mount Saint Marry's College and Community Colleges, are there any Non-online LYN to RN bridge programs that are in or around the LA area? Question #2 - What are my Online school options. I only know of Indiana State University...I called Excelsior, but they don't cover CA. Are there any other online LPN to RN bridge programs that I haven't heard of? Question #3 - I'm leaning very strongly towards Indiana State University since it looks like they are turning up to be my only option. Is anybody on these forums currently enrolled in this program? If So: A. - Can I take more than 1 course at a time in phase 3? B. - Are the classes hard? Are there are lot of homework assignments or is it more reading book reading and then taking the exam type of study? C. - Are the clinical locations easily accessible or far and few in between? Anything about the clinicals that I should know about? How do you like or dislike them? D. - The college network (Phase 1) said I have to take 2 more pre-requisite courses, are they legit, are they fully accredited, does it really take 1 hour a day for 30 days or will it be shorter or longer realistically, are there any hidden fees I should know about? E. - If I decide to just retake the General Education courses all from the start from The College Network and then try to transfer them to Mount Saint Marry's College or Community Colleges, will they be accepted? I know I've asked a bunch of questions, but if anybody here is able to even answer just one that would help me A LOT!!! :) Thank you and glad to be the new member to your community.
