  1. Just to prove that I am not rude ...I hope the chutes open By the way ... still no one seems to grasp a very simple question.
  2. I'm sorry I posted here. Suzanne4, let me educate you a bit. 1. Home health agencies do not carry malpractice insurance, they carry professional liability insurance and being licensed to provide home health has no bearing on whether your corporation is insurable or not. 2. Every state requires an individual to have a nursing license from your state board of nursing - not every state requires a company or an individual to have a "home health" license (from a state regulatory body - i.e. department of health.) For example, I could open an ambulatory infusion suite (i.e. Alliance, Healix) and because I am not providing care in the patient's home or representing myself as "home health" I am not required to have that facility licensed. As I stated, some states do not require you to have a license in order to represent your company as a provider of "home health" 3. Being a licensed home care agency also has no bearing on third party payers. You cannot bill Medicare unless you are "certified" but If I am a home health corporation in a state that does not require a home health license, the managed care companies would not require the corporation to hold a license, because the state does not offer a license. I am a nurse. I'm tired of this thread already.
  3. Most states require a licence to practice home care - some do not. I just haven't been able to locate a list of those that do not.
  4. Also, I think you are confusing licensure with certification.
  5. If almost every state requires a license, then by default, some states do not. The question was: Does anyone know where to find a list of those states that do not require a license to practice as a home health agency? Thanks anyway.
  6. Anyone have a listing or resource of states that do not require a license to practice as a home health agency? Thanks.
