What's going to keep you motivated????
I am amazed at your statement. Why should a law be passed to cap CRNA salaries at 75k? Should a law be passed to cap MDA salaries at 150k? Medicare doesn't differentiate, and there is no differance in reimbursement for cases done by a CRNA or a MDA, so why should any salary be capped?

What's going to keep you motivated????
You all crack me up. It's not that serious. I guess we can all say what motivates us to become CRNA's is that same thing that motivates us from day to day. Family, fortune, future, and a little bit of fame and when it's all said and done, we want to look back and say that we made a differance.

What's going to keep you motivated????
O.K. everybody, be real. I understand the eliteness, the chance to be a part of something special, yatta...yatta...yatta. I have been wanting to be a CRNA forever and it's not just about the money. If I came off that way, I do apologize, but all the added perks does play a part in that. I don't need to be a rap-star, living comfortably is what I want, but I know that every one wants a better life for their family and being a CRNA with a 6 figure salary can definately provide that. (If you are wise with your finances of course.) But would you become a CRNA if it required the same grueling committment and you only came out of school and made 50 thousand dollars a year?

What's going to keep you motivated????
You are soooo right. We are getting the oppurtunity to go where so many are longing to go. It's going to be tough, but I'll tell you like my hubby says "keep your eye on the prize".

What's going to keep you motivated????
I start CRNA school this August at ODU and I know it's going to be all that everyone says and more, but what is the one thing that will keep you motivated when the going gets tougher than tough. I have a pitcure of a nice big house that I want with the mega master bedroom and bath, the big body benz...and vacations in the carribean, and college fund for my kids, shopping, shopping, and shopping....you all get the pitcure right? Oh yeah, and autonomy and no more but wiping or denture cleaning! What's the one thing for you that will make it all worth it?:roll

Out ot town travel
I am in the same situation. I start classes at ODU in Norfolk and our clinical sites are all over as well. I am told we will be going to OHIO for 10 weeks, Washington DC for 6 weeks and Baltimore for 4 weeks. I have 2 small children at home and all though I have a very supportive spouse and my mother is availabe to help at times, I am going to hate leaving them. I know it's a sacrifice that I have to make though, and it will be well worth it in the end.

Any other new students getting really nervous?
Hey everyone, I am a new to the website, but excited to know there are others out there feeling the same way. I start school this August. I am leaving a management position and nervous. I haven't had physics or a lot of chemistry and I know that would be my most challenging area. But I want this bad enough and I have waited long enough. With God all things are possible and he is my co-pilot. So good luck to everyone. Let's keep in touch and give eachother pointers!!! SRNACHIC
