We mainly use a kidney dish to pass sharps (as mentioned previously in this thread) with the exception of certain specialities such as ent and max fax in which the surgeon tends to help themselves to the blade or have it passed by hand when using the microscope.

Hello all, I've been a scrub nurse since completing my nurse training a year and a half ago and as part of a post-reg course I'm due to work in the recovery department for a few weeks to gain experience of managing post operative patients. Any advice on what to expect? Thank you so much
