  1. Just start the process now. You can get it done, one step at a time
  2. Completely forgot... Starting Spring 2013 you will be required to have ALL pre-reqs completed..
  3. Are you referring to SAC RN program? If so, I got accepted with a 3.6 gpa and have not completed micro, phil, and engl1302, unfortunately I had to decline acceptance for this fall because I accepted my spot in the lvn program at baptist this past spring. Was tired of waiting... But it is VERY possible to get in without all pre-reqs completed!!
  4. Congratulations!! would you mind sharing your teas score and gpa?!
  5. Hey lvnstudent213, would you happen to know how soon after you graduate from lvn school you have to wait till you can take the PN-NCLEX?
  6. Oh thats pretty cool, cause I considered lvn - rn online also, but didn't want to go through excesslor.. I'm going to look into angelo state also. Thanks!
  7. Awesome! Who has an online lvn - rn? Excesslor?
  8. Yup.. all white shoes, which sucked cause of course I don't own a pair like that and had to buy some.. lol For my first semester I'm taking 18 credit hours.. VNSG 1160 - 1ch NURA 1301 - 3 ch VNSG 1161 - 2 ch VNSG 1402 - 4 ch VNSG 1227 - 2 ch VNSG 1231 - 2 ch VNSG 1413 - 4 ch LVN - RN at Baptist is 3 - 4 semesters long depending on if you have the 5 general education courses done. It starts in January and May. No LVN - RN start in August.. weird huh?
  9. Haha, the only experience I have in being a nurse are my 3 children when they get sick.. Yeah, I'd rather wear any color of scrubs and any color of shoes and not have to buy patches.. I had to buy navy blue scrubs, ALL WHITE tennis shoes and the patches are $3 each and I have to get them sewn on.. those books you mentioned aren't on my book list.. lol
  10. Yeah! I bought my books to read ahead over Christmas break! Haha yes, the scrubs are LONG, but I'm 5'2".... I bought one set of greys anatomy at a scrub store off medical and fredericksburg. Averaged $25 for each top and bottom! That's kinda high.. but I hear greys anatomy lasts real long.. but I only got one set to try it out.. the other 2 sets I bought online at allheart.com. I know buying scrubs online is insane because its best to try them on, but they were SO CHEAP! $10 for each top and bottom. I just used the size chart they have on the website. The brand is "wink" lol, and I love how these fit better than my greys anatomy set :) I only got 3 sets cause Baptist only allows you to buy 3 patches total! Crazy right?!
  11. Oh no really? Maybe the prices went up since nursing schools started sending out acceptance letters and people are purchasing more nursing books.. I bought mine as soon as I got acceptance letter.. Btw, if your shorter than average... good luck finding scrubs that clear the floor!!! Lol
  12. My books came out to like $1000 also, but I bought all of them from amazon and spent $540. So be sure and check out amazon! My financial aid isn't coming till 30 days after I've started school.. boo.. lol
  13. My book list is 14 books total for the whole year, but he didn't tell me what books I need for only the 1st semester. Like its just a list for the whole year.. Booo.. lol. I went ahead and bought all of them... You excited to start? :)
  14. That's music to my ears! :monkeydance:
  15. I get it now =) Yeah, I guess I would just apply to Wayland.. I couldn't move out of San Antonio to go to any other bsn program. With Wayland not requiring a second chemistry course and done in 15 months without an ADN sounds good to me! Chem was a nightmare! Lol! Hopefully it stays that way by the time I can apply..!
  16. I only counted 23 pre-reqs, thats 5 more than for UTHSCSA BSN. I need to go see an advisor about all this too lol
  17. Yeah, I saw that it has extra pre-reqs. But a traditional bsn is 2 years. Did your advisor mention how many years the lvn - bsn was at wayland? If its only one then it kind of balances out? What do you think?
  18. I wanted adn cause its faster.. but seems bsn is taking over huh? Considering Wayland lvn - bsn.. but who knows what'll happen from now till then.. lol Wow that monitor tech program is at sac? Anybody can enroll in that? Maybe i'll do that instead of pre-reqs at night. Is it in continuing education?
  19. Congratulations!! Yeah... I'm going to be taking a couple night classes at sac while in the lvn program. I want to keep working on my core prereqs for the bsn program.. what's a monitor tech?
  20. Chem is not a prereq to graduate but micro is. And chem is a prereq for micro.
  21. Awesome! Good choice! Which bsn is only one year?!
  22. Hey Ladydeeb! Any news on acceptance into st.phillips?!
  23. 3 semesters, spring, summer, fall
  24. I've been accepted into the Baptist LVN program, what questions do you have?
  25. Hello! Did you ever get the info you needed?!
