Hi Im new to the board, all your threads are great! :) Basically Im looking for someone in Canada (toronto-hamilton) to point me in the right direction into nursing. I am starting from the bottom. Currently all I have is a 3 year diploma from Mohawk College (different field not related) and I'm working at a retirement home/LTC/respite but I do not have any certificates to work there (you dont need to at this place). All I know is that I love my job for the first time in years and I'm willing to go beyond where I am. I would like to be an RPN. Are there any part time courses for this anywhere? Am I correct in understanding that I will need to get a 2 year diploma in Practical Nursing before going through the RPN course? Im so confused, I barely know what Im talking about so hopefully someone on here can help me :) Thanks :)
