Hi all! I just graduated from the UNF BSN-MSN Family Nurse Practitioner Program. I have taken 5 or 6 DNP courses as well. So I think your question was about more information on the program. The first semester of the program is very intense. You will take health assessment, advanced patho, role development of an APRN, and advanced pharmacology. If you are in the full-time program you will be in class once a week. We had class every Thursday. It was from 0800-2100. Some nights we would get out of class earlier. I wrote anywhere from 65-85 pages worth of papers during my first semester in the full-time program. After that semester, you won't have to be in class as long. I think my second semester we were in class from 0800-1600. You complete roughly 150 clinical hours each semester as well. I had a really great experience at UNF. They will place you with a clinical preceptor or allow you to pick your own. I liked this because I did not know of a lot of nurse practitioners prior to entering the program. They also have a high publication rate. During your second semester you will start working on a topic for publication. This looks really nice on your CV. The instructors are very responsive.
