  1. Hello all, I am a 23 yo male nursing student in my last year of school to get my BSN. I currently have a 3.25 GPA and strong sciences. I am looking into CRNA school after I graduate. I have shadowed one CRNA for 4 days and another for one shift. I have a letter of reference from an anesthetist and CRNA that I got to know over the Summer. I am currently working in a general ICU as a tech in a nurse externship program. This has allowed me some excellent opportunities to advance my skills and work closely with nurses. When I graduate, I will have one year experience as a tech in the ICU. Also upon graduation, I will be extended a job offer, pending interview, as a nurse with initial preceptorship in the same ICU. I am also working on doing my practicum as a senior in a level 1 trauma center with help from a friend. My hope is that once I graduate and get a few months under my belt, I can work at the level 1 trauma center PRN. I am going to take my chemistry over because one of them was a C, as well as physics. I have decided that CRNA is definitely what I see myself doing. Yes the money is great, but the autonomy and the rush that knowing you have a pt's life in your hands is the drive behind my desire. Any suggestions on anything else I could do or need, other than GRE score, would be very welcome. I really just want to get a feel if I am on the right track. Thank you all and God Bless.
