  1. Yes...it is sad to say....some nurses heart is not with the patient and is with the money. I was raised to have integrity in what I do and I have worked to hard for my license. I will jump ship if the "team" is not a team and move forward. They should for sure welcome new nurses, but some of them are so miserable when the person is a new nurse they chew them up and spit them out. I have noticed a "attitude" in this economic climate. However, I try my best to be happy and polite to my clients. Being in a negative mood just brings all others down. I try to focus on the patient, my skills and smile at co-workers especially the ones putting a knife in my back. You have to try to have a positive mental attitude or co-workers gossipy ways will get to you. Sometimes I question why more nurse managers do not speak up. Imagine having to leave after 15 years because a "new person" who notices the weakest link goes after you. Terrible just plain Terrible.
  2. I am sorry you have had this experience. If you can block all the extra stuff out you might be able to not give notice. Nurses are known to be two faced...as a matter of fact people are known to be two faced. Keep work at work..and home at home. When someone tries to drag you into something...act busy and ignore. I am sorry I think it happens in life...but it can get to the point of bullying and then it is no fun at all.
