  1. Our program is one of the best in our area. The Hospital werw we do clinicals, is the best in our area, they are also rated in the top ten in the US for cardiac care. They encourage SUPPERVISED hands on training, as a great deal of our students eventually work for the hospital system.
  2. Thanx everyone for the replies. I have been researching various conditions typically found on a neuro unit and I think that will help. The prof. I spoke with, I'm sure, was only trying to help without confining my thinking to one specific condition, med, or type of patient. I know just from life experiences that ppl change daily. Thanx again!!
  3. First rotation ever. I was a cna years ago but at an assisted living afacility and didn't see many varying clients.
  4. I'm starting clinicals this semester on the neuro unit of a hospital, and was wondering what are some common ailments and medications to be expected. I spoke to one of the nursing professors and she said to be dedicated and it won't matter what type of client you see. It will take care of itself.
