  1. HI! I am too applying in March. I spoke to the previous nursing director a couple months ago and she said that the approximate time has gone down to 1year. She has left her position so I really hope nothing has changed since then. She also said that it will still be random draw and people will be put as alternatives if they do not get in the selection class. She also said that people drop out constantly so if we are alternatives than to make sure we have everything (shots, classes etc) in case we get a call. so keep your phones with you at all times!!! anyways good luck to you all i really hope we all get in soon =] and about your classes im enrolled in the cna program so you might wanna do the same
  2. I spoke to the Director and even though the college says its in the process of changing the system to a point system/grades that so far its not happening soon. And by soon I got the hint she meant not this registration period coming up. She said they wil still send the names to be randomly drawn out. So we will see if we get lucky! OHHH and she said that its definetly a year waiting list now! So if your names pops up and the class is full, they will keep it for next semester or so on.
  3. this sounds a litte like me. i dont have severe anxiety but im in general a nervous person. i panic at interviews, ive worked with co-workers for years and years and still have trouble talking to them and opening up and sometimes i feel depressed about the future too because 70% of the time im being negative! I also want to start my life soon and feel imma be so old when i finish nursing but u know what were gonna get there anyways so might as well stick it out. I think that you have accomplished sooo much by getting where u are today (looking back how u were before). I thin you can definetly do it and you have the heart obviously since you keep pushing yourself. I wold recommend to take some classes to calm your nerves and talk to a counselor or therapist or whatever to help. Also if you can handle it, try volunteering at a local clinic to get comfortable. Good luck and we can do it if we put our mind to it and repell those negative feelings
  4. Ok I am soo fustrated because I was done in June with the final prereqs for nursing and was hoping to apply in september for the program but VVC this year did take applications twice this year like usualy did . Now i have to wait UNTIL next spring to apply I dont even know if this school does lottery draw or wait list because last meeting i went to the ladies literally coulnt (b/c they didn't know) tell us how they choose their students!!! Has anyone out there attended VVC school in Victorville and gone through or are currently going through the program that could give me some usefull info?? im so lost and frustrated and i would like to know around the usual time it takes to get in so i can work my butt off and save so i can finally get in =[ and oh one more thing. in their website it says they will mail response letters about a month or so after they take apps but does that mean they tell you then and there if you in or not? or is it just letters saying they got ur app???? someone please help!!!!:hdvwl:
