Hi everyone. I am almost finished my pre-reqs. I am taking CHE this Summer and AP2 next year. I am having a baby in August and plan to apply to Stony Brooks 12 month and 2 year program. I am just praying I get in. Does anyone have an undergrad GPA of around 3.05 and still made it in the program? SB minimum is 2.8 and most others are 3.0. Does this include pre-reqs? Do they average together? Any other information is helpful as well! I live in Nassau County and just looking to get in 'a program'! Preferably and accelerated BSN! :)

Hi everyone! I am an Undergrad taking pre-reqs in an attempt to apply for an acclerated second degree nursing program. I have to do a project to help me see if Nursing is truley the route for me. I would like to interview one more Nurse or have them answer a few quick questions for me via e-mail. Can anyone please help me with this? It will only take a few minutes and would help so much as I do not know any Nurses personally and the ones I called to try and set up an interview with were very rude. Very hard to find a Forensic Nurse, as well. If so can you please respond to this post or PM me? I have 5 classes left for my Bachelor's and unfortunately I found out after going back to complete my degree that they add on two classes, one of which is a pre-req making it impossible to finish it this Fall. I begged, pleaded, everything but they won't allow me to take it. I am trying to be positive and take some Nursing pre-reqs this Fall and Spring so I will be ahead of the game. I am going to continue applying to schools and try to get accepted for Spring. I know that I will have to finish pre-reqs before I begin the actually program. So here are my questions. Do you know if any schools in NY accept Sciences obtained online? My college offers Microbiology online. Also for my current degree, which is Psychology, I only had to take Anatomy and Phys. (4credit). There is no A & P1 or 2 there. I think it may be a general class for both. Has anyone dealt with this? Any suggestions on what to do at this point as far applying or what to take to be ahead of the game? Does anyone know anything about Molloy? I just applied there and really hoping that I get in.

Hi everyone! I am trying very hard to make a career change. I have dreampt of becoming a Nurse for years and now have the opportunity and support to do it...but have to do it ASAP. I have to complete 12 credits for my BS, which registered for today. I am desperately trying to get into an accelerated BS to BSN for the Spring, which I know is next to impossible due to the programs pre-reqs. One class I am taking right now is Microbiology, but need A&P 1 ans 2 and Chemistry it looks like. I actually took an A&P, but I do not think it qualifies because it doesn't specify 1 and 2. I am applying everywhere. Molly, LIU, Adelphi, Pace. I am applying as Undeclared because I do not have my BS or pre-reqs yet and figure they will probably deny me. Any advice with this? I figured that I could at least take A&P. Does anyone know of schools that offer A&P in block courses (half semester) so that I may be able to complet them in the same semester. I am really trying to think outside of the box so that I can make this happen. I would hate to miss out on my dream! I have been doing a ton of research, but do you have any advice. I thought of just trying to transfer my credits immediately, taking my pre-req and then I would definitely be ready for the Spring. Does anyone know of programs where that is possible? Does anyone know who has the highest acceptance rates. I live on Long Island (by Molloy) and definitely open to commute almost anywhere within an hour or more. Sorry for so many questions! I would really appreciate any advice!
