  1. would like advice on choosing nursing as a career

    I'm an undergrad majoring in sociology but really want to go into nursing... :) I've applied to several accelerated MSN programs but I'n not sure what area to go into... I'm thinking about being a family nurse practitioner or pediatrics... I would appreciate any advice or comments on this and from anyone that's gone through an accelerated program after getting a 4 yr non-nursing degree... best thing about your job... the worst thing.... did you start out in the area that is your goal... any advice... I've heard nursing school is physically and emotionally draining....
