  1. The interview was VERY laid back. She basically asked me about myself.. It was more of a conversation than an interview. We talked about my fav classes in my undergrad and why I want to go to FNPschool right away. I just graduated with my BSN. We talked about everything I wrote in my essay, life, my parents, everything! She said they do these interviews to put a face to an application. She ended it by giving me a hug :)
  2. I found out about 4 days after my interview. Anything yet? I just decided on Belmont.
  3. Sorry I have not written back!! I applied on January 10, and then got my decision letter on March 23 :) I was also admitted into Belmont University's Program here in Nashville, which is an on campus program. I'm trying to decide. Rachellee- this was my first time applying. I just graduated with my BSN in December so I'm a baby nurse :)
  4. Woo! I got an email yesterday that I was accepted into the FNP program for the September, 9, 2013 start!!
  5. No I called them and they told me over the phone.
  6. I was denied admission I'm looking okay though! I have an interview with two other schools this month! The BIGGEST congratulations to those who were admitted.. you all will do so wonderful!!
  7. Nooooo!!! Oh darn this just breaks my heart to hear such news! I had been anxiously waiting for today.. what is another week though, right?!
  8. My application is under review by the Student Admissions & Academic Affairs (SAAA) Committee. My GRE scores were subpar. When she told me this a few days ago.. I didn't sound promising, so I'm preparing for the worst and hoping for the best :) congrats to all who are receiving great news!!
  9. Soooo I was kind of told that I was rejected over the phone. My application went to a special committee "probably because I want a good fit for the program", but they meet again on March 6th and I can call on the 7th to find out more. What a bummer... Shucks!
  10. It's the lady at the front desk,. I feel terrible for not knowing her name.. I've called her a million times. Just call the school of nursing main number.
  11. Hi everyone! I've applied for direct entry FNP and too am very anxious for a response.. I'm currently in Italy for two weeks and was hoping to hear before I left.. So I called the office and they said that in about a week or two decisions should be made for FNP because they always take longer than the other programs. They also said that they are more than happy to give decisions over the phone if you call their office.. So if anyone is still waiting, and are just as impatient as I am, give them a call. Congrats to all who have been accepted!!
  12. Congrats jb30!! Which program did you apply to? Hooray!
  13. I wasn't aware that FNP applicants were required to do interviews.. ahhh!!
  14. Hello Trin22! Which prerequisite courses are you speaking of? I don't know of many online BSN programs.. but there are many RN to BSN courses online! Is this what you mean? My friend had her ASN and did her RN to BSN online through Boise State University and got accepted into the Family Nurse Practitioner program last year. Hope this helps a bit!
  15. Tnn0413.. Thanks for your comment! I have heard that in the past they respond SO quickly to their applicants, but I have heard from two different people at Georgetown that it is different this time around. They are hoping to have made decisions no later than the beginning of March! Eeek! Apparently they have so many more applicants than usual.. (no surprise!) You really feel that you are attending an in-person class?! That is so awesome what technology can do :) Did you have any RN experience before applying? From which BSN school did you graduate? Can you tell me more about how the online courses work? Thanks again.. I really appreciate it!
  16. Hello everyone, I have not been able to find a thread for Fall 2013 Georgetown applicants! So I am hoping that I did not look over any, and if I did, please let me know so that I can join in. I applied to the Georgetown's on-campus FNP program and received an email last night that they are no longer offering on-campus instruction, but that my application will still be looked at normally for their online program. Has anyone heard anything about their application process? How is everything going for anyone? Hope to hear from some of your soon!
  17. Sarahdukie, I would rather not use her name in a forum like this. I will try to PM you.
  18. Thanks MrSensitivity! You too! I just went back through my essays last week and found that I had made two misspellings in the same paragraph. I think I might have copied and pasted an older draft into the application.. ugghhhh.. I feel like such a bonehead.. I know they look at that stuff too But still.. my fingers are crossed!
  19. I emailed them asking them when we would hear back because I'm in a bit of a different situation.. but she said we would hear back by mid Feb :)
  20. Hey everyone! I got this email yesterday morning. I'm applying for Direct Entry Family Nurse Practitioner. I thought I would share this with you all! "Your application is under review by the FNP faculty. As soon as we have received an admission decision, we will notify you. I anticipate that it will be by mid-February."
  21. Thanks for the info about the scholarships! Has anyone heard anything about anything!? What about for FNP? Darn this waiting game is terrible :/
  22. Kms673I applied for FNP. What about everyone else? :)
  23. Everyone, If anyone hears anything about any application status, please let us all know (if you'd like!) I know it is way early in the game, but dang the waiting game is already killing me, and we've got months to go!
  24. Worth11.. I submitted my application before the deadline and got the same sequence of emails you did! I was a bit worried too.. but I'm glad it wasn't just me!
