anybody ever heard of Lpn"s changing GT? Also I need info about Shiley Trachs. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
  2. what happens when a nurse makes a med error? like ghives a med to the wrong patient? the patient was given norvasc, folic acid, levaquin, and lasix. nothing went wrong duruing the shift, he had a normal bp and no adverse reactions. does a person get their licensed revoked because of that? also, how long should u wait after the error occured to safely declair the patient ok?
  3. it reall bothers me when two or more nurses start talking their language around the nurses station. I don't know why but I feel ignored when they do that. does not even matter that there is an english only policy because the nurse supervisor speaks the same language.I remember when I was a CNA I was the only english speaking and (american) staff member in the whole building. Ethnic groups would give their groups special consideration when they asked for help but I was left to rot when I asked! How would u have handled these situations? I feel really bad! Sincerly needs help on this topic
  4. Then I dont understand how u can afford name brand clothes and cant afford to pay for food.-Sounds kind of silly of u to keep up with the Jones but cant afford food, clothing, child care and medical assistance for yuor children.:angryfire I a poor too but I do know my limits and if i had tried to keep up with the Jones I would not be a nurse right now. Its one of the sacrifices I had to make. and get this--I am a nurse(before i was a Cna) and I still can't afford cable, even while working (full time) with 1 child and living with my parents!:angryfire ---To Kiyasmom:stone

AT PLANNED PARENTHOOD , SHE DID SAY THAT THEY WOULD BE TEACHING ME HOW TO DO PAP SMEARS. BUT SINCE SHE WAS NOT A NURSE BUT PART OF THE ADMINISTRATION MAYBE SHE MEANT CULTURES-EVEN THOUGH I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF LPNS IN MY STATE TAKING A CULTURE FROM THE lady parts. tHEY DID NOT TEACH US HOW TO TAKE A CULTURE FROM THAT PART OF THE BODY. IT WAS THE EYES AND THROAT.
