  1. I am going on 4 yrs of not working as a nurse, I am a LVN and am not sure I will ever work in the nursing field again but I worked hard to get my license and don't really want to let it go. Is it better to retire it, make it inactive or is there more than continuing Ed classes I need to do to keep it active? Would love some advice and discussion on the subject. Not sure if every state is different or not but I'm in TX
  2. I just finished nursing school and by the end of first semester, several were weeded out. The program is not easy. If your prerequ. Classes seem hard, they have nothing on the nursing program at least not the one I attended. If you are serious about a nursing career and are willing to put in the time and effort you will be fine. When you hear people say you will do nothing but eat and sleep nursing for the whole time, they are not joking. You will even dream procedures. Make sure your sure this is what you want and then work hard at it. If you have a family tell them you'll see them again when the program is over. Good luck to you.
