  1. I am in the RN-MSN Bridge program. With the ASN degree plus another bachelors, you only need to take three courses, four if you did not do statistics undergrad. I did statistics undergraduate so I am only taking three courses to bridge to the Family Nurse practitioner program. I am taking Nursing research this fall and will complete the bridge course in Spring with health assessment and international public health nursing.
  2. I had a wonderful time at Harcum. I completed the ASN there in 11 months and was still able to keep my full time job. Villanova,Jefferson and Drexel admitted me also but I could not afford to leave my job for nursing. The pass rate for my class STARS 2010 was 98% on NCLEX. The instructors are great and highly experienced, most of them graduates of Penn. If you are entering nursing call the nursing department directly. They are very organized. The school might not be well organized but nursing folks are good. Also, if you are at Harcum as a second degree student you only need 12 credits to transition into the MSN. I am currently enrolled at La-Salle RN-MSN straight out of Harcum. I did not have to wait for one year.
  3. I am a highly frustrated new grad RN living in PA without a job. I recently got hired by a home healthcare agency doing Pediatrics. Will this home care experience count as anything should this unemployment continue for more than a year? What do we do if this situation doesn't change in the coming years? Any help to answer these questions will be highly appreciated.
