A research assistant can do a lot of things, my work is on a novel angiotensin receptor. People work on a lot of different ones, it depends on the faculty members interest. I do more bench/basic science work, although there is clinical research going on. I know people who do work, I'm guessing you're pre-nursing at this point, so you can the first year and potentially during didactics. However, I would choose a job where I could study. I'm referring to the scholarship with Baptist in general. Irrespective of going to NSU or Barry, I'm not certain I would want to be locked in like that.

I'd get a Welch Allyn, I'm underwhelmed with Littmann and prefer a traditional double headed stethoscope. You'll mainly be using it to check BP, you don't need to pony up for a cardiology grade stethoscope.

I'd choose Nova, although I'm not certain I would take a scholly with a 3 year payback. NSU enjoys a better reputation in South Florida. Also if you choose to stay in Davie, NSU arguably has the nicest campus in the area, with a lot of amenities.
