@ky_grl82 ohhh yes I did take the NLN, I did better than I expected but I actually. A friend of mine got a 70 percentile and she said she studied from a website on the public library which turned out not to have helped at all so I kinda had to wing it. I'm sure you will do fine in the nursing program if you did good in the NLN because the way that they set up the questions in the NLN are very similar to the way they set up the questions in the RN program.Do you have any other pre-reqs that you still have to take or are done with your pre-reqs? I still have to take micro and I'm scared because I heard it's kinda hard. What instructor do you have? I had **** ******* and ***** *******. **** is kinda strict, many had complaints about her, ****** is kinda in between because sometimes she would be so laid back and then she would be very strict, the one that I heard everybody recommending was ***** ********* they say she's pretty good, if I get in the program again I will take her. @elkpark..thanks a lot. I didn't mean I was going to take 4 years to get a BSN I meat that if I wanted to get an MSN I would have to do 2 years for my BSN and the proceed to get my MSN which would take 2 more years. I wanted to just go straight to the MSN and skip the BSN part that way it would only take 2 years to get my MSN..:) thank you very much for your advice

thanks. yes I've heard about those types of nurses lol, which makes me feel even dumber because if they are dumb and were able to get a nursing degree, I must be way dumber because i already failed once so I've got to reapply again which sucks, and is the reason why i'm trying to rush my education because if I would passed I would of been a nurse by 19 which is my age now and now I've got to start over again when I could of been done, and I know that it's kinda dumb the whole age thing but I wanted to get done quickly because i have a child and Its a struggle to have to got to work, school and take care of a baby, but I greatly appreciate your advice thanks.♥

What do you mean the pre entry test?? which test is that?? yes I was reading about the advanced standing thing but I didn't quite understand it. If you were previously in the program you have to apply in june but that would mean that I would have to wait for late registration which mean I would have to take just take any classes that are open. So are you going to start this fall of 2010?? I wish you the best luck. I know that everyone is different but I guess I wasn't smart enough so it was extremely hard for me, but hopefully if I can get all this straighneted out I'll be able to apply for the 2011 fall semester because I honestly want to be a nurse. I knew I wanted to be a nurse since I was a kid which is why I got a headstart, I got skipped a grade and I started to take my first pre-reqs since I was in high school, so it kinda all went to waste but you know what they say, "if at first you don't succed just try and try again". thank you so much for the info:D

I'm currently trying to get into the nursing program again, and I was wondering, after I get my ADN is it absolutely necessary to get a BSN before I can get an MSN?? I wanna get my MSN but I really don't wanna have to go 4 additional years to school.

I was a nursing student at BCTC but I had to juggle with work a baby and school and unfortunately did not make it past the first semester. As you can imagine with the class being a 9 credit hour class it dropped my gpa to a 2.6. I got in the nursing program with a 3.7, so now I'm struggling to get my GPA up enough so that they can at least consider me. The problem is that even if I take 5 classes this fall and 5 in the spring and 3 in the summer I'll only get my GPA up to like a 3.3 or 3.4 and I don't know wether that will be enough. I know that to consider you you have to have at least a 3.0. i wanted to know what is the lowest GPA that someone has gotten into the nursing program. Could the put me in the waiting list with a 3.4????
