  1. I've just graduated with my BSN, and moved to Brooklyn into what appears to be a completely saturated job market. I've applied to every position I can at every hospital in the NYC area, and no interviews. My plan has now become to find a position through a nurse staffing agency, I figure even if it's temporary it'll give me some experience and pay while I'm still searching for a hospital placement. Does any one have any advice for job hunting in the city, or working with a staffing agency? Also, has anyone spent any time pounding the pavement and handing in an application to a hospital nurse recruiter directly? I thought I might have more success with that then being immediately rejected via online application for not having the correct amount of experience. I'd appreciate any advice, and thanks for your time.
