Yea. I'm planning on going to the place to buy the uniforms next week. Thought it would be cheaper to order it online. I guess there's a specific type of uniform we need to get then. I was told I was accepted into the RN program late because someone dropped out so I am very lucky. Maybe they didn't give me the book list cause that's the only thing I'm missing. Did my cpr certification already and everything else is in check. Are there any good studying guides or NCLEX review books that would help? Let me know thanks!

Yea!! I'm super excited! Do you know which books are needed? They are going to tell us on the first day of class, but it would be nice to have a head start! I currently have Saunders. Can you recommend me some books to use so I can pass with flying colors? Thanks! Also, would you happen to know what color scrub we need? Is it royal blue or light blue?

Yups! :) Starting this Aug 26th, I start my first day of classes. Hopefully it'll be in the new building they just built. Are you in the program as well? I would like to know a little about the program and what to expect! I'm so excited and nervous at the same time.

Recently, I just got into Medgar Evers College for the Fall 2010 semester. Been planning ahead and getting all my documents together to be readily handed in. Hopefully it will be in the new glass building they just built this semester! Anyone else made it to this fall?

I am planning to try maybe SUNY Rockland CC and see what they say. Maybe I'll have a chance and then attend several open houses for next year. My last option would be to apply or LPN next fall and prepare for it by studying for the entrance exams. Are there any LPN schools that some suggest going to? Thanks!

Thank you for your post! :) I would like to know more about the joint BSN program of LIU and Kings County. It seems interesting and might suit the needs I have to get back into nursing. Where might I find the information for this program? I'm already planning ahead in trying for the private institutions for next year hopefully to have another chance. I took note of all the open houses so I can speak to a representative of their schools. I will let them know about my situation and if I will be just wasting my time again in their schools or not.

Anybody? I seriously need some advice in getting back into nursing. I don't care whether it's out of state or not.

Hello. I have attended New York City College of Technology's Nursing Program 2 years ago, but unfortunately failed out with almost being finished in the 2nd semester. Then recently right after, I took a dive and went for another CUNY school and tried for their nursing program at Medgar Evers College. I was told they give students second chances after they didn't do so well at another college so gullably I believed them and took 1 year of prereqs for their school before i retook the NLN. I had a 3.7 GPA and a composite score of 130 (91% percentile) so I thought my chances are pretty high to get back in. Sadly I did not get in. I feel like I wasted another year when I could have tried other ideas. I really believe nursing is something I want to do for the rest of my life. I enjoy helping people a lot. I had the idea of changing my major, but I came back to nursing because I feel it fits my personality the best. I need some advice and wanted to know if anybody else was on the same boat as I am in now. If so, are there any alternative options available and what can I do to get myself back in?
