  1. I am looking to apply and not to be super nosey, but would you elaborate on what your grades, GPA, admission points and such are? I have no idea what to expect, I came from Missouri. @Kaslee20 @ahutchi9
  2. I have been thinking about becoming a CNA before nursing school starts in August. I think it will give me a little more insight on what it will be like to be a nurse and what "I" think it will be like. Good idea? Anyone ever heard of this place?
  3. If you are waiting for a spot at Meramec, call **** She is in charge of the list. @mae0218
  4. I think it is 2x a year. March and August, I believe.
  5. What is better, to be a PCT or a CNA while waiting/going to nursing school?
  6. Thanks for the replies! I think I can do it, but it scares me too. I don't want to flunk out of nursing school for being sick or something. Now, I have never been the best test taker to begin with, is that an automatic fail for nursing school?
  7. If you don't mind answering this, please do so. How long have you been a nurse? What age did you become one? Are you married? Do you have children? And an extra question, is it possible to be pregnant while going to nursing school?
  8. I am starting my program in August and wanted to get new and seasoned nurse opinions on your experience. If you are a new nurse, is nursing what you had envisioned in your head? Is it better or worse? What do you love about your job? If you are a seasoned nurse, same questions. Is nursing what you had envisioned? Is it better or worse? What do you love about your job? Would you do it all over again? Also, do you feel like you get burnt out with nursing? Thanks!
  9. So, my plan is to become an RN in the future, but right now I am looking into becoming a CNA. What exactly does a CNA do? Are you always with an RN? Is it rewarding? I am looking into a program that is 7-weeks long, does that seem normal?
  10. There might be a chance that I will be moving back to Georgia. We were originally going to move back to the Kennesaw area, but now it is looking like Savannah. Can anyone give me any info about any schools in the Savannah area? I will be going for my Associates. What is required? GPA? TEAS? Any schools have a waiting list? I am in Missouri and currently on a waiting list.
  11. I have posted twice about this and never got a response. I know there are people on here that have gone to STLCC @ Meramec, I am waiting on the list right now. I want to know what the schedule is like? What are the days? Hours? Any info would be greatly appreciated!!!
  12. I am hoping to get into the program next spring. I was just curious as to what the schedule is like at STLCC Meramec? What does a typical day look like? What are the hours and days? When do you start clinicals?
  13. Why? Can you elaborate?
  14. I am currently living in Missouri and I am on a waiting list at my community college. The schools here, have a waiting list...you apply and then they just go down the list until your name comes up. I have noticed that no schools in Georgia do this. Am I wrong? We were planning on moving back to Georgia, but it scares me to leave and give up my spot. I was thinking about just going to Chamberlain, but I didn't know if that was a good school or not. I have a 3.0 GPA and have all but two classes done (A&P2 & Micro). Advice? Please let me know if there are any schools that have a list.
  15. Is there a long wait to get into the LPN program?
