  1. Hello to all who may be able to offer advice or guidance, I am entering my final year of nursing school. I will be graduating in the spring and I hope to work in a NICU, and also at a NYC hospital. I have experienced some discouraging advice, as many have told me that it is very difficult to get a job as a new grad in a NICU and also at a NYC hospital, so the two together are unlikely upon graduation. I am not sure how reliable their information is but I was hoping for some insight and possibly advice on places to apply, anything I could do now or in the future for a better chance at a position as a new nurse in a NICU. I am a good student and my grades are reflective; I am also planning on spending my final semester at a NICU for my practicum for exposure and as much experience as that would offer me. I am not sure what else I could do this early, or over this final year but work hard hope for the best? I'm not sure if my questions were clear but I am really just looking for any honest, general advice in this area. It would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
