  1. Hey JT thanks for the info buddy!
  2. Ok so I bought McGraw-Hills Nursing School Entrance Exams omgsh if your stumped on math this book is perfect! It completely breaks down the math for you! I don't know about any other part of the book only cuz my weakest area was math so I haven't really bothered with any other part. I rented the book online for only 5 bucks and I paid and extra 3 dollars just to get it sooner and it came the next day! My mother in law works for Christian health care center and they pay lpns excellent and they have good benefits! Lpns can work in nursing homes and get paid well girly, you don't have to spend All this money on lpn schooling just to end up as a medical assistant Or nurse assistant what a waste of schooling! Plus I'm a medical assistant and trust me you don't make excellent money. My friend as an MA w her certification as an MA, EKG, and phlebotomy was making 20 an hour in Montclair but she was with that doctor for 6 years. I was only making 16 then I moved on to a become a dental manager and made 23 an hour but I wasn't happy there you know, I have always wanted to be a nurse so I'm going to Persue my dream. I figured I can do LPN then start working after I finish. Then go straight into the RN schooling to become an RN.
  3. If I'm not mistaken Lincoln tech isn't even accredited, that's what I was told. So your probably better off at hohokus. As for lpns working in the hospitals, I thought lpns were not allowed to work in hospitals in nj? Matter of fact that's what Lincoln tech told me lol. Girl keep studying your math! Good luck! Keep me posted! I have a great book to recommend that helps a lot with math let me know if your interested in the title of it. :-) I'll let you know what happens with me soon.
  4. Omgsh Julia I heard so many bad things about them! I took their test too and failed the math I'm here going over my books now. I messed up the math but passed everything else. I heard once your accepted to their school they treat students like crap! I even knew someone who went there and failed the class and they threw her out they won't even let her re- attend she told me lots of crazy thongs about them they even stole money from her! I have decided to go to the center for allied health and nursing in Hackensack but I won't take the test till I'm ready and comfortable in the math area.
  5. Julia did you pass the exam?
  6. Becky! Congrats to you how exciting! I just got my study guides so I'm gona bust my butt working on my weakest part (math) then I'll pay them to take the test lol! I just want to be confident going in you know. As for the exit exam I pretty much heard the same! It's nerve wrecking! So is it center for allied health and nursing in Hackensack your going to? When do you start?
  7. Thanks for your reply. Yea I looked into Holy Name and realized that registration was closed. I was also looking into Mountainside hospital nursing program, you should check that out. So did u get into Hackensack? I was thinking about Dover but I might try where you have at Hackensack. I just need to fresh up on my math
  8. So I am utterly confused on what school to attend, who is accredited, who isnt, what school is good, and so on. I wanted to go to Lincoln Tech but I heard so many negative things about this school, then I decided to go to Dover but again I heard some scary things that have really made me unsure about where to go. I know there are so many schools to choose from but I need to know legitimate schools in Passaic/Bergen county area, a school that will be worth me going to. Does anyone have any advice or incite on any schools? Thanks in advance for your help!
